Dear Parish Family:

As my family and I return from two weeks in Australia, I’d like to

share from my heart what our trip was like. It was a wonderful trip!

We joined with seven other believers in Christ from Calvary Chapel

Oceanside at LAX, and flew to Houston and then onto Sydney (17

hours).

Daily we were blessed by an 8:30 a.m. team meeting for prayer time

and sharing our testimonies. Our group of eleven people were from

ages 11 to 72. This helped me be more clear about my walk with

Jesus and to be more open and honest.

Our “mission” was first to join with the YWAM staff (12) in

Canberra, Australia in both fellowship and worship to bring light,

love and joy and new energy to their team.

We met new friends from Fiji, Papau New Guinea,

Australia, Scotland, Ireland, and South Korea.

Sydney Opera House was beautiful from a

Darling Harbor boat ride at night.

Don and Beverley Dennison were our team leaders. Don and Beverley were married at Trinity

Episcopal Church in San Jose and came into faith in Jesus Christ at a Cursillo in their 30s.

They continued to be active in the Episcopal Church while doing their six months missions

training in l997. They have done short-term mission work in the Philippines, Ukraine, Indone-

sia, Australia and others.

There were a variety of children and youth on the base all attending school as their parents learn

and train for the mission field. These girls are primarily

from Papau New Guinea and Fiji. Cora really had a great

time. There were 2 trampolines.

We give thanks for the opportunity to see Jesus come alive overseas! We give thanks for His

love and grace through the “Aussie people”. We look forward to being back together with our

church family at St. Nicholas Church. Pastor Ann, Linn, Victor and Cora

Jesus Saves! Hearing the stories of so many

changed lives was a true blessing!
