Thank you to all those who supported. You will have received a letter from Mrs Jones this week, outlining our Healthy School Aims. I hope you will support us in this, and we too will be making this commitment. Please, please contact us if you have any good ideas. A big thank you to Mr Dowsett who ran two parent classes this week to explain how to support your child with problem solving activities. We are re-launching our playground buddy system with an updated training session and an new application form. (For Year 4-6) We hope that you will encourage your child to become involved, as it is a great way to learn and support others. If you need another application, please ask your class teacher. Please note that there are three new INSET days for your diary. These are 21 st July 2017, 4 th September 2017 and 28 th September 2017. All pupils will be showing off their art work in their class galleries. (We ask that hot drinks are not carried around the school). No doubt our little entrepreneurs will try and sell you some original art work, but you are not obliged to purchase.

Internet Access – Parents of Years 3,4,5 & 6 Mr Dowsett would like to invite all parents who have children that can access the internet at home to a meeting after school please.Could you please email back which day you would prefer and we will go with the majority.Thursday 9th March @ 3.30pmFriday 10th March @ 3.30pm

The meeting will give Mr Dowsett an opportunity to discuss the upcoming National Tests and some ICT resources linked to problem solving and the word problems element of the National Tests, that Mr Dowsett believes the children can benefit from at home in the build up, to make every minute count. 

Thursday March 9 th - Llanrhidian Book Day and BLOB Awards On this day we will be asking the children to come to school with their favourite book, and dressed as their favourite character. We will be holding our annual “Best Llanrhidian Outstanding Book” ceremony in the afternoon.

Red Nose Day – 24 th March We will be raising money on this day by holding a “Wear Red Non School Uniform Day” Please donate £1 (or more if you can) for the cause. We are now selling red noses before the event. We will let the children know when they arrive. They will cost £1 each.

Year 1 Welsh AssemblyPlease note that the Year 1 Welsh Assembly has been changed from 8th March to 15th

March at 9.05a.m.

Year 3/4 Creative Project – March 15 th Gowerton Comprehensive @6pm Well, we have seen the film! And it is looking amazing. We hope you can attend this event to see the results of this project. Well done Mr G’s pupils.
