I can confirm that Portion 179 (a portion of Portion 163) of the farm Klipfontein 268 JR does not appear to be land
belonging to the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform.
Unfortunately our remote connection with the data base of the Department of Public Works is out of order at the
moment. As soon as it is up and running I will proceed to find an answer for you.

In order for me to provide informed feedback to you on behalf of Rosslyn Quarry please can you forward me theinformation requested below:
1) A copy of the regulation 2(2) plan showing the original area and the area covered by this section 102application. You indicated in the letter that the 2(2) plan was attached however the copy that I received hadno plan.
2) Please indicate on a map the location of the intended boreholes to be drilled within the first phase ofdrilling. In addition please can you indicate the location of any new tracks that would be required.
3) A copy of the prospecting works programme submitted for the section 102 amendment4) A copy of the original prospecting right – I am curious to understand how an application for a period of 5
years can be obtained when the original right must have been granted some time ago (based on theprospecting right number)
5) A copy of specialist fauna and flora surveys to provide a better understanding of the potential impacts thatcan be expected.
I would appreciate it if I could receive the above information before the end of this week so that I have time toprovide you with appropriate comments.

Yes, I see what you mean: It is RSA land, but you would like to know the Department (National or Provincial) that is
administering the land.
I can confirm that Portion 179 (a portion of Portion 163) of the farm Klipfontein 268 JR does not appear to be land
belonging to the Department of Rural Development and Land Reform.
Unfortunately our remote connection with the data base of the Department of Public Works is out of order at the
moment. As soon as it is up and running I will proceed to find an answer for you.

administers proposals such as the one at hand. We are however in the process of reviewing our
policies to cater for amongst other things long-term proposals. I will be forwarding your proposal to the
relevant committees being DID Leasing Allocation Committee(LAC) and should the matter not qualify to
be tabulated at that committee, will then pass it on to PICC (as Ester has indicated in her below mail) and
this will be through the approval of the DID-HOD.
I have copied LAC members for advise on the matter. I will make a follow up on your proposal and
subsequently revert to you with a way-forward
