You won't be surprised to hear that the three faced Mintubi grades we offered yesterday were snapped up in less than 24 hours and really all of this material should go to either hobbyists or a dealer who supplies hobbyists or sells at markets.
There is some Dark Base Lambina with a dash of colour for only $20/oz, you really can't see from the outside of the stones what's in there but it came from a good parcel which is always handy to get some pleasant surprises from.
IMG_1124 and 1191, the ounce of Lambina Special for only $80 is from the same mine, so that will give you an idea of what might come.
For those of you who facet, the Lambina Dark Base for $88, $129 and $138 would be very good for you. Mind you it's not just faceting, you'll get some lovely solids from there and they are very nice sized stones.
For collectors the two Lambina Squid pieces for $54 are very good value. One actually has black potch at the top and a different coloured potch at the bottom, I doubt whether there is any precious opal in there but that stone alone is worth $54 and would make a great pendant.
There are a couple of packets of thin Mintubi stones, one at $20/oz the other at $25/oz, you can cut solids but many of the stones would be good for doublets or triplets.
The two stones in IMG_6963-9 have very thin super gem bars. The sandstone is as hard as concrete, I suggest the purchaser of these two stones for only $100 takes off one layer of sandstone and leaves another layer on the back to support the stone. It would be like a natural doublet. The colours are gem and brilliant and whilst the bar is thin they are well worth $100 in fact if you cut them and are not happy send them back and I'll send your money back. Now that is never done in the opal business but that's how confident I am. The larger stone could well be worth $400 when cut.
There is an 8 Mile specimen here with sandstone from Coober Pedy on the bottom and the top, it really is best left as a specimen but there is a red bar that seems to be going through the stone which is about 2" long. The opal which is mostly potch is about 3/8" thick. I doubt that a cutter could leave it as a specimen, they would want to see what is in that red bar, it faces on black potch so I'm sure a cutter wouldn't have trouble getting more than $55 out of it.
The Lambina parcel of 30oz for only $45/oz is a beauty, you don't have to buy the lot, I will sell it in 3 or 4oz lots if that'll help you.
Same deal with IMG_2909-21 White Base Mintubi Reds & Greens. There are also some Coober Pedy stones in there, you can buy from this parcel in .5oz or 1oz lots if that'll help you.
Last but not least there is a little gem, brilliant super gem in fact IMG_2777-8 measuring 32mm x 10mm

in the rough, that is a gorgeous stone. It'll be worth at least $100/ct when it is cut and there are 8.35cts in the stone so this could be the best profit stone in the whole lot.
There are a couple of kilos of Chrysoprase for only $75/kilo, that's dirt cheap. As I dictate I can see at least 3 stones that are worth $150/kilo. Again we would split that or even find you some better Chrysoprase up to $400/kilo if you wish.
