Soho Sushi Bar and Deli introduces sushi rolls to their menunew
In my experience, sushi is an acquired taste. It took me about eight attempts before I acquired
one I liked. Moral of the story . . . I like spicy tuna.
When I started with Barmuda, Beck’s was just being finished and Barmuda
was considered the “Barmuda Triangle.” Now it would be called the Barmuda

Easter is a little peculiar when you think about it. Commercially, the focus is on the Easter Bunny and candy.
Let’s say a kid receives a chocolate bunny, beautifully wrapped in colorful foil. The child unwraps it, gazing
at its beady eyes and chocolatey goodness . . . then they bite their heads off. It’s a good thing chocolate
bunnies and real rabbits aren’t likened as the equivalent of voodoo dolls and humans.

“My Ioway” is a musical revue written by Robert John Ford and will be performed by E2G at Sky Event Centre on Friday, April 30 at 6:30 p.m.
A musical revue is a mixture of music, dance and sketches. This is the first time an entertainment-based event has been scheduled in Sky Event Centre.
“My Ioway” is based on unique people, places and traditions that have made it what it is today. Butter sculptures, inclement weather and college sports are all touched on in this homage to our homeland.
“It is an evening of wonderful entertainment and an outstanding menu,” says Bridget Bryson, sales and events director. “The ticket price includes sal-ad, entrée, dessert and a show about the great state of Iowa.”
Tickets cost $45 per person or $80 for a pair of tick-ets. Price discounts are available for groups of 8 or larger but seating for the show is limited, so those interested should buy their tickets soon.
If you would like to purchase tickets, call (319) 234-2012 or visit www.barmuda.com/sky for more information.

ntThe hilarious Heywood Banks from The Bob and Tom Show and vari-
ous television appearances will be performing three shows at Joker’s Comedy Night Club on Friday, April 9th and Saturday, April 10th. The
singer/songwriter, stand-up comic uses a unique blend of music and conventional comedy to induce laughter to the audience.
“Having a comedian like Heywood Banks is a big deal,” says general manager, Alex Meyer. “His credentials
speak for themselves! The Bob & Tom Show, HBO, Showtime Comedy Club as well as featured in Rolling Stone Magazine, it will be a great show.”
“Heywood Banks is my hero, besides being fun-ny, I can identify with a tall skinny guy that loves toast as much as I do,” explains Scott Davis, director of entertainment and operations.
Heywood Banks is a comedian that soaks his material with pop culture, so audiences have to be informed on current events. But if that isn’t your style, his songs, vocal-style
impersonations and silliness are just as enjoyable for the crowd.
Showtime is 8:30 p.m. on Friday, April 9th and 7:30 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. on Saturday., April 10th. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online or at Joker’s Comedy Night Club. To purchase tickets or for more information go to www.barmuda.com/jokers.
