De Hoop Collection is a wonderful place to have amemorable and relaxed weekend wedding celebration with your family and friends. Nestled within theDe Hoop Nature Reserve, we can accommodate around 120 guests at De Hoop Collection in various types of accommodation with a range of affordability and luxury.
Our reservations office will gladly arrange theaccommodation for your guests, including orexcluding meals, and our team of preferredsuppliers will work with you to ensure that planningyour dream day is a dream experience!

Your Ceremony & Reception Our grand old Fig Tree offers a lot of natural beauty and does not need much to make it special. With different seating options and personal touches your wedding can be very unique and in line with your owntheme and personal taste.
Weddings overlooking the 19km Vlei are also a popular choice forcouples looking to celebrate outdoors. Think canapes served off thecoals with roosterkoek and homemade pates and jams while yousoak up a South African Sunset.
Of course one will need to keep an eye on the weather, but aPlan B would be in our new Shed with a stunning view of the Vlei.
De Hoop Weddings work closely with a team of decor & eventspecialists to craft and create your ideal look and atmosphere. Share your inspiration with us, and we’ll weave a string of magical moments.
*Kindly note: beach photographs are often taken the next day, after the wedding, as travel to the beach is required. Ceremonies are offered at the Main Opstal Area but not on the beach itself.
Wedding Reception BarThe Fig Tree Restaurant is fully licensed and we do require that you buy your wineand beverages from us. We have a wonderful range of wines carefully chosen from the Overberg area for you to choose from for your wedding reception at a discounted price. We can set up and run the bar for your wedding reception according to your ownparticular requirements and budget. After your wedding ceremony we can do someexciting Cocktails and delicious homemade lemonade to accompany your canapés.
The Fig Tree Restaurant @ De HoopThe Fig Tree Restaurant is open all day for your guests and serves delicious breakfasts,brunches, lunches and dinners. For the evening before your wedding your guests canarrive to a wonderful welcome Potjie followed by dessert. We can set this up ‘boma’ stylearound a lovely campfire, with paraffin lanterns so that your guests can meet up and chataround the fire. On Sunday we can provide a Farewell Brunch for your guests,for everyone to get a chance to chat about the wedding the night before!
Capturing Your Day Your photographer will be spoilt for choice when it comes to shooting those all-important wedding photographs. From the pristine dunes ofKoppie Alleen*, to the expansive flora of the De Hoop Nature Reserve, nature will provide the perfect backdrop.
During the day, we have a number of activities which guests can be involved in from guided bird walks, to boules, tennis, ‘golf’ amongst the eland, mountain biking and guided quad bike trails to name but a few.
Terms & Conditions • We would require that your guests stay for a minimum of 2 nights over a weekend. • Due to the fact that De Hoop is a Nature Reserve the gate is open strictly between 07h00 and 19h00 and is run independently by Cape Nature - not De Hoop Collection.• The latest you may party until on the Friday is 24h00 and for the wedding reception 01h00.• In terms of the new liquor laws, we do require that you buy your wine and beverages from De Hoop.• All the information in this document is valid for 2015. Prices may increase at the beginning of every new year.• All décor and catering arrangements must be discussed in a ‘face-to-face’ consultation.• Most costs quoted exclude labor and transport.• Total costs of a wedding/function are subject to a Consultation and written Quotation.• Prices are subject to change.
