Dear brothers and sisters, When a Pope was asked, “What should we be doing when Jesus comes again?” he replied, “Look busy.” Perhaps the pope had in mind today’s parable about the good and faithful servant versus the foolish one. Jesus is telling us to be attentive and ever-watchful for the Lord’s return. When the Lord comes again, we do not want to be caught being idle—that is, not living a faith-filled life. Self-indulgence is much easier than self-discipline because that requires much more of us and so does living a faith-disciplined life. If we take doing “what matters to God” seriously, then we know in our hearts that we must immerse ourselves in God’s words, be consistent in our conversations with Jesus, and offer ourselves as models of good and faithful stewards. We are to share the great mystery of God’s love with those who suffer, have lost hope or need forgiveness. The world cannot afford for us to be idle as we await the Lord’s return. There is no time to waste. Let’s get busy. With our approaching Stewardship Weekend, please consider joining a ministry or continue dedicating ourselves to our current ministry. Have a blessed week. ST. ALBERT OF TRAPANI 2019 BAZAAR

The Bazaar Committee has been hard at work since April.

We are striving to have a better and fun Bazaar this year.

On August 17, we will start raffle ticket distribution. We

ask that each family pick up at least two books. A book of

10 tickets costs $50.00.

Lifelong Faith Formation

Faith Formation Classes:

Schedule: 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM (English)

11:00 AM to 12:30 PM (Spanish/bilingual)

Grades 1-2: First Communion Preparation

Grades 3-8: Ongoing faith formation classes

Grades 9-10: Confirmation (two year formation)

Registration for First Communion, Confirmation

& Ongoing Faith Formation Classes

Registration will be held Sunday, August 18 after ALL

the Masses in the Parish Center. The registration fee is

$40 per family plus the corresponding book fee.

First Communion registration: To register the child

must be already Baptized, at least 7 years old, and in the

2nd grade. A copy of the Baptism Certificate is

required. Parents will also have to attend class.

Confirmation registration: The student must be in

high school. The parent and the student must be present

at registration.. A copy of the Baptism Certificate is

required to register. Second year Confirmation students

must re-register also with their parents.

BULLETIN AND PULPIT ANNOUNCEMENTS: Ministry coordinators, if you have an item for the pulpit announcements or bulletin, let the office know ASAP.

Queridos hermanos y hermanas,

Cuando se le preguntó a un Papa: "¿Qué deberíamos

estar haciendo cuando Jesús venga de nuevo?", Él

respondió: "Parezca ocupado". Quizás el Papa tenía en

mente la parábola de hoy sobre el siervo bueno y fiel versus

el necio. Jesús nos dice que estemos atentos y siempre

vigilantes para el regreso del Señor.

Cuando el Señor venga de nuevo, no vamos a querer

estar de ociosos en ese momento, es decir, no viviendo una

vida llena de fe. La autocomplacencia es mucho más fácil

que la autodisciplina porque eso requiere mucho más de

nosotros, igual que vivir una vida disciplinada por la fe. Si

realmente tomamos en serio “lo que le importa a Dios”,

entonces sabemos en nuestros corazones que debemos

sumergirnos en las palabras de Dios, ser coherentes en

nuestras conversaciones con Jesús, y ofrecernos como

modelos de mayordomos buenos y fieles. Debemos

compartir el gran misterio del amor de Dios con quienes

sufren, han perdido la esperanza o necesitan perdón. El

mundo no nos permite que estemos ociosos mientras

esperamos el regreso del Señor. No hay tiempo que perder.

Ocupémonos. Con nuestro próximo fin de semana de

mayordomía, considere unirse a un ministerio o continúe

dedicándose al ministerio actual. Que tengan una semana

bendecida.

KERMÉSSE 2019

El Comité del Kermésse ha estado trabajando desde abril.

Nos esforzamos por tener un Kermésse mejor y divertido

este año. El 17 de agosto, comenzaremos la distribución

del boleto de rifa. Pedimos que cada familia recoja al

menos dos libros. Un libro de 10 boletos cuesta $ 50.

Clases de Formación de la Fe:

Las inscripciones se llevarán a cabo el domingo, 18 de

agosto después de todas las Misas, en el centro

parroquial. Se requiere copia del certificado de Bautizo y

la cuota de $40, más el precio de los libros.

Primera Comunión: Los niños debe estar bautizados,

tener al menos 7 años y estar en el 2 ° grado. Es

necesario presentar una copia del certificado de

bautismo. Los padres también tendrán que asistir a

clase.

Confirmación: Los estudiantes deben estar en la

escuela secundaria (high school). Es necesario

presentar una copia del certificado de bautismo. Los
