Alberto Pedrosa is a much travelled, multi-talented professional who brings his commitment
to excellence to his career in financial services.
Born in Tampico, Mexico, Alberto received his undergraduate degree in biochemistry
engineering from the Monterey Institute of Technology. He then obtained his master’s degree
in food science from Cornell University. While working toward his PhD. in the field, he met —
and soon married — Carmen Ana Torres. Then in 1987, Alberto and his young family moved to
Puerto Rico, where he joined his father-in-law’s financial services company as a financial
advisor.
Starting with life insurance, Alberto quickly added property and casualty products and
health insurance to his list of services. He then obtained his securities license so that he could
make variable products and mutual funds available to his clients. “I enjoy helping clients meet
their financial goals,” explains Alberto.
In the same way he has tackled other opportunities in life, Alberto pursued his new career
with vigor, earning his Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) and his Financial
Services Specialist designations from the American College. He has also been named to the
Million Dollar Round Table on several occasions.
Alberto and Carmen have three sons.
