This unit is small enough to work among obstacles in existing landscapes or in tight work areas such as against walls or buildings. This unit offers 6,000 lbs of thrust/pullback force and is capable of up to 500 ft-lbs of rotary torque, with a maximum rotary speed of 180 rpm. New Astec EarthPro™ Series It weighs a nimble 2,600 pounds (1179.3 kg) for minimum impact on turf and existing landscape. The patented Es!Lok system is integra- ted into the drill controls. An emergency shut down switch is located at the driller’s console. Powered by a dependable 26-horse- power Caterpillar® C1.1 diesel engine, the DD-65 has an onboard duplex mud pump that can pump 5 gallons per minute at 650 psi. This unit features the field-proven single rack-and-pinion carriage drive.
