DESCRIPTION

This system is based on the Spell Point system. The largest difference is the concept of a pool of mana points which is shared between all classes and types of spell casters. The underlying concept is that magic is a pool of energy which flows from the caster, and practically speaking it is much easier to keep track of a single pool of points than multiple pools. You get bonus spells per day from both school specializations and domains, and under this system you are not restricted to using those extra points for just those schools and/or domains. However, you only get the bonus spells per day when you would otherwise get at least a "0" score in your normal spells per day. You do get your entire ability score modifier bonus spells per day as spell points even from higher level spell slots, but you may only cast spells that are no higher than a level in which you get a "0" beside your "spells per day" (just as under the normal rules you get bonus spells to use when a 0 is shown)While this does increase the power of spell casters overall, it is really meant to streamline game play. It also self balances in that the DM would apply this system to opponents. This system, and the graph on the sheet, was created by Elliander Eldridge. Current Mana Points :

The Mana Point system is meant to replace the spellsslot system in D&D. Use the table on your left to determine how many mana points you may use each day. (include domain and specialization spells/day as bonus spell points along with normal bonus spells) To cast a spell you must spend mana points equal to the caster level. You may cast any spell you know without preparing it the night before, but you still need spell components.
