    We, Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairmaof Dubai:

    In applying this Order, the original Local Order shNo. (89) of 1994 on Regulating the Practice of EngProfession in the Emirate of Dubai, issued on tFebruary, 1194.

    The provision of Clause One of Article (13) of theshall be replaced by the following:

    On Regulating the ProfessionEngineering Consultancy in the Emira

    We, Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairmaof Dubai:

    - Having reviewed of the powers vested inEstablishment of Dubai Municipality;

    - Local Order No. (89) of 1994 Concernin

    Profession of Engineering Consultancy in as amended; and

    - Upon the proposal of the Director Genera

    Issued the following Local Or

    For the purposes of this Order the term the Origmean the Local Order No. (89) of 1994 ConcernProfession of Engineering Consultancy in the Em

    All foreign engineering branch offices and engiexisting at the time of enforcement of this order, aafter the date of enforcement hereof, shall be exement of appointment of a local services agent pr(31) and (35) of the Original Local Order.

    However, such Firms and Offices may appoint oappointment of a local services agent if they withat in both cases Articles (30)and on of the Orobserved.

    This Order shall be attached to the Original Locread with it. Any provision to the contrary in the

    shall be, to the extent to which it contradicts withOrder, hereby revoked.

    This Order shall come into force as of the dateshall be published in the Official Gazette.

    The Committee may decide to stop receiving any transactions for newconstruction works submitted by the Engineering Firms that fail toadjust their status, one year prior to the expiry of the period referred tothe previous article.

    This Order shall be published in the official gazette and shall come intoforce as of the date of its publication.

    Article (7)The term of this Contract shall be two (2) years commencing from the date ofissuance of the license and shall be renewable for a similar period unless either partynotifies the other by a registered letter at their/his address referred to first in thisContract, of his/their wish not to renew the Contract. Such notice should be given

    not less that two months prior to the date of expiry.

    Article (8)The relationship between the two parties shall be limited to the obligations referredto above in this Contract. The parties hereto shall not be in any way considered part-ners or jointly responsible for any financial liabilities that may arise as a result of theFirst Partys carrying on their activity in the Emirate of Dubai.

    Article (9)Any dispute between the parties concerning the interpretation of the terms of thisContract shall be settled amicably. In the event of failure to reach an agreement,Dubai Courts shall be competent to resolve the same.

    This Contract is made in ( ) copies, one copy shall be kept after notarization, withthe Notary Public, one copy shall be deposited with the concerned authority forcompletion of the necessary licensing procedures while every party shall keep a copyto act under it.
