Transportation Planning in Cities

How do structures affect how people

behave? Street lights, speed limits,

benches, crosswalks, trees,

speed bumps, public parks, etc. Planners take this into consideration

when designing new structures for cities.

People react to their environment by basing their behavior around it. structures give signals that tell people how they should act. Certain structuresencourage or discourage people to actin certain ways.
