Davy Crockett’s childhood

Davy was born in Greene County, Tennessee, on August 17, 1786. He was

the fifth out of nine children

and only one was a girl.

Once when he was at school he confronted a bully and he was so scared that he ran away to the wood for three years and there he

showed off his hunting skills

• Davy went to fight at the Alamo against the Mexicans because he loved Texas and wanted to raise a family there.He died there in 1836.

• In 1821 Davy ran for Tennessee State legislature and won.He was elected to the U.S. Congress in 1826.He ended his time in Congress in 1836.
