support to the Task Force and Special Forces Group (2006-2007).

Professor of Counselor Education (on leave)- As a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army

Medical Service Corps, served as the Command Psychologist for the Combined Joint

Special Operations Task Force-Afghanistan during deployment to Afghanistan for

Operation Enduring Freedom. I provided clinical and tactical psychological support to

the Task Force and Special Forces Group. Upon redeployment served as the Deputy

Director, Psychological Applications Directorate, US Army Special Operations

(Airborne) at Ft. Bragg, NC. (2002-2003).

Professor of Counselor Education (on leave)- Serving as a Lieutenant Colonel, Medical

Service Corps, mobilized in the U. S. Army Reserve at United States Army Special

Operations Command (Airborne), Fort Bragg, NC in response to the attack of September

11th

, 2001. I served for six months as Director, Psychological Applications Directorate.

Principal duties included ensuring continuous operation of the Directorate, coordination

and funding of research projects, coordination of the assessment and selection of Special

Forces soldiers, psychological oversight of survival, evasion, resistance and escape

(SERE) training, and developing an educational process capable of enhancing Special

Forces soldier’s self-awareness and adaptability leading to creative decision-making and

enhanced soldier performance (2001-2002).

Chair, University of Colorado at Colorado Springs CACREP Accreditation Self-Study

Team-School and Community Counseling programs received seven-year accreditation

(1998 and 2007).

Director, University Counseling Center, University of Colorado Colorado Springs

(1998-2001). Hired and supervised counseling center staff, prepared budgets and

supervised counseling center outreach efforts. Initiated a proposal with other faculty and

staff to reorganize student services on campus and appoint a senior level administrator at

the vice chancellor level to organize and direct student services at UCCS

Chair, University Budget Advisory Committee Advised the Chancellor concerning the

allocation and reallocation of a $22M budget (1997-2000)
