Greetings

It’s time to take a break from the hot weather. Yes, the time for the summer

break has approached which is indeed a great refreshment and relaxation in

itself. The school’s summer holidays are scheduled from 5th June 2016 to 10th

July, 2016 and the school will reopen on 11th July, 2016.

Keeping in mind that this recess turns out fruitful for the students. The school has designed comprehensive home assignments which would bridge the gap of responsibility and recreation. Perhaps it’s an opportunity for the students to practice and polish their skills. Kindly motivate and help your child to complete the homework and spend his vacation in a progressive way.

Secret for being successful Respect time. Work hard and put in your best without caring about the result. Fix a clear and an objective goal. Always take initiative. Welcome opportunities and explore.

Guidelines for Homework Completion: Enjoy doing homework, it’s not a burden. Homework should be neat and presentable. Be simple and avoid over decoration. Use separate notebooks for different subjects. Avoid cutting and overwriting. Compile and submit your homework in clear bags well labeled with your Name, Class

and Roll No.

Schedule for submission of homework:

English, Mathematics, Punjabi 11th July

Hindi, Social Studies, Science 12th July.

General Knowledge, Computer and Visual Art Holidays homework will be collected by the teachers in their respective classes.

Late submission shall not be accepted.

Creative work must be done beautifully. Best work will be announced and displayed.

ENGLISH

enriching the vocabulary and language skills, reading takes us to

another world altogether. It shapes our thoughts and organizes our

brain. To keep you engaged in a thought process, read part 1 and 2 of the novel prescribed

by CBSE from the reading project.

Write the chapter review of all the chapters and make a beautiful and attractive Book

Jacket of it.

2. Creative Writing:- Every year we celebrate World Environment Day on 5th June.

Make a scrap book and paste clippings of slogans, posters, articles and other environmental

related material published in the daily newspapers especially for World Environment Day.

Prepare a report on the “World Environment Day” in about 120 words.

3. Do Page No- 33, 34, 41 ̶ 46, 53 ̶ 64 of Practice Papers.

4. Revise the finished syllabus for written test.

SCIENCE

1. Practicals :- Experiment no. 1,2,3,4,5 will be done in practical

files from science lab manual.

2. Prepare a magazine of information about Astronomical

Heritage Monument in India.

3. Prepare a postcard to pay Tribute to our former president and

renowned scientist Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam (Laminate and

decorate it)
