Morning Car Line at Brookwood
Dear Parents,
If you are driving your child to school each day, you are painfully aware of the traffic issues on Vaughan Drive and in the
Brookwood parking lot. I hear from parents every day regarding their frustration in this regard. I do have some
suggestions and hope each of you will seriously consider one of them:
Put your child on the bus as often as possible unless you are out of district and do not have this option
Carpool with one other family to cut the number of cars in half
Leave earlier and resist the temptation to park and walk your child in to the building
If you do park, wait until carpool is over before trying to leave the parking lot
Follow the directions of the staff who are running the morning carpool
Stay off your cell phone and have your child ready to unload when your car reaches the curb
These are all actions that could make a huge difference in how smoothly and safely the Brookwood morning carpool runs.
Thank you in advance for your assistance with this.

Lost and STILL Lost
The BWES Morning News crew organizes the Lost and STILL Lost items left in the cafeteria. We feature
many lost items live on our morning broadcast. On one day last November, there were over 100 items in
the Lost and STILL Lost!
Here are two suggestions from the news crew. Please write your child’s name on coats, water bottles,
and lunch boxes. The news crew makes every attempt to return items with names. Also, please
encourage your child to tie their jacket around their waist (especially on the playground) when not being
worn.
The news crew encourages Brookwood Bobcats to be 100% responsible for the items they bring to school.
