Respect For All Week 

PS 11 participated in Respect for All Week. Here are a few of the many wonderful projects displayed in the hallways to foster awareness and discussion on responsibility, trust worthiness, fairness, respect, good citizenship and caring.

Students had discussions in class about how to show respect to friends and family. They later created a picture of themselves and wrote one sentence that showed how to respect others. 

Students engaged in conversations about respect, bullying and why they should obey rules. They produced projects that demonstrated their opinions and ideas on how to respect themselves and others around them. 

Students read Matthew and Tilly by Rebecca C. Jones.  Together as a class they charted characteristics they look for in a friend.  They then created a want ad in search for a new friend.
