Whereas, Ms. EKTA, D.O.B. (27/03/1987), Roll No.- 2460007856 has been nominated by the DSSSB for the post of PGT (POL. SCIENCE)Female against Post Code: 115/17 vide letter No.F1(413)/DSSSB/P&P/2017/2231 dated: 10/05/2019 and vide Result Notice No. 414 dated 30-04-2019 and accordingly an Offer of Appointment was issued to him vide this Directorate Memorandum dated: 30-08-2019, the second opportunity was given to her vide public Notice dated: 26-10-2019 published in the leading newspapers and Memorandum of Final Opportunity dated 22-11-2019.

And Whereas, Ms. EKTA did not report in person on the scheduled date and time as given in the offer of appointment issued to him vide letter of even no. dated 30-08-2019, Public Notice dated 26-10-2019 and Final Reminder of even no. dated: 22-11-2019 and neither has intimated any reason to the Directorate for not reporting and has not accepted the offer of appointment.

13. As per DoPT Office Memorandum NO. 35016/2/93-Estt.(D) dated 09/08/95 wherein Para 2, the following has been mentioned:

"An Offer of Appointment should clearly specify the period after which the offer would lapse automatically if the candidate did not join within the specified period. If however, within the specified period, a request is received from the candidate for extension of time, it may be considered by the Ministry/Department but extension beyond three months should not be granted liberally and it may be granted only as an exception where facts and circumstances so warrant and in any case only up to a maximum period of six months from the date of issue of the original offer of an appointment". An offer of appointment would lapse automatically after the expiry of six months from the date of issue of the original offer of appointment.

Therefore, In view of the facts and circumstances as above and since the candidate has willfully chosen not to respond to the memorandums dated 30-08-2019, public notice dated 26-10-2019 and 22-11-2019 the candidature in respect of Ms. EKTA is hereby cancelled and the dossier returned to the DSSSB.
