This addendum forms a part of the bidding and contract documents and modifies the original bidding documents dated December 19, 2018. Acknowledge receipt of this addendum in the space provided on Bid Form. FAILURE TO DO SO MAY SUBJECT BIDDER TO DISQUALIFICATION.
I. PART 1 - ADDENDUM TO THE SPECIFICATIONS
A. SECTION 07 51 13.11 BUILT-UP ASPHALT ROOFING, HOT-APPLIED
1. REVISE specification section:
2.8 VAPOR RETARDER
A. ASTM D 2178 Type VI premium asphalt-impregnated glass-fiber ply sheet.
1. Basis of design product: Tremco, THERMglass Premium Type VI. 2. Net Dry Mass, ASTM D 146: 8 lb/100 sq. ft. (390 g/sq. m). 3. Breaking Strength, minimum, ASTM D 146: Machine direction, 70 lbf/in (12 kN/m); cross machine direction,
60 lbf/in (10 kN/m).
B. Hot-Applied Asphalt Materials:
1. ASTM D 312 Type III hot-melt asphalt. 2. Basis of design product: Tremco, Premium III. 3. Softening Point, min/max, ASTM D 36: 195 – 205 deg. F (90 – 96 deg. C). 4. Ductility at 77 deg. F (25 deg. C), minimum, ASTM D 113: 1.5 cm. 5. Penetration at 77 deg. F (25 deg. C), min/max, ASTM D 5: 15–30 dmm.
3.4 VAPOR-RETARDER INSTALLATION
C. Hot-applied Vapor Retarder: Install two glass-fiber plies lapping each ply 19 inches (480 mm) and adhere in a solid mopping of hot-applied adhesive. Glaze-coat completed surface with solid mopping of hot-applied surfacer adhesive.
D. Completely seal vapor retarder/air barrier at terminations, obstructions, and penetrations to prevent air movement into roofing system. Seal vapor retarder/air barrier to air barrier in adjacent construction at perimeter of roofing system.

1. Stone Copings a. Remove and replace sealant between all stone coping joints at Roof Area 1. New sealant shall be from
the face brick on the roof side, up and over the stone cap, to the face brick on the exterior side. See picture below
2. Clay Copings a. Remove all existing clay coping caps at Roof Area 1. Provide new wood blocking on top of existing
masonry wall. Blocking will need to be shimed to create a level top of wall. Anchor wood w/ ½” anchor bolts at 24” oc, grout into masonry wall. Cover wood with a SA membrane. Install new metal coping. See detail 17/AR104
3. Roof Area 8 a. We are not going to require the nailed base sheet. Contractor to prime the deck with the AVC primer and
then install the AVC membrane direct to the deck.
C. Sheet AR103 ROOFING DETAILS
1. Detail 11/AR103 and 12/AR103 a. Roof Drains
1) Existing roof drains to remain. Install NEW roof drain extensions, as to provide a min 4” depth of insulation at the drain bowl. Install NEW clamping ring, hardware and cast iron dome.

a. DELETE conductor head and downspout. Not required for overflow scuppers
D. Sheet AR104 ROOFING DETAILS 1. Detail 1/AR104
a. Ductwork from RTU to will will need to be removed to install new roofing. New ductwork should be provided to keep bottom of duct at least 8” above new membrane. New duct shall be insulated and wrapped to protect from weather.
