Mykita has opened its own space on one of Copenhagen’s best-loved shopping streets. A few doors down from local design store icons, the light world of Mykita radiates from large shop windows, appearing even brighter next to the dark anthracite of the exterior walls. The visual theme of contrasts was picked up from the shop’s original ceiling heritage-listed structure of white glass panels and brass profiles. White terrazzo flooring, floor-to-ceiling windows and mirrors optically enlarge the intimate shop space. Visitors move easily around the wide oak desks in the centre of the room surrounded by the eyewear models on the iconic Mykita Wall shelving.

New York City is the location chosen by Roy Roger’s for the new F/W 16/17 campaign with protagonists Russian model Vita Sidorkina and British model/chef Isaac Carew. The black and white images convey the value of denim in a sophisticated, metropolitan mood: “it is a campaign that expresses through minimalism the character of the person wearing the jeans” explained Guido Biondi, creative director of the Sevenbell Group.

Photographer Philip Gay puts across the sophisticated soul of the collection in a series of shots in which the garment is the protagonist. The name Roy Roger's has always been associated with jeans. The current development of the brand includes an expansion of the offer, with a total look proposal for men, women and children in which the historical archive and contemporary trends cohabit perfectly.

After 110 years from its foundation, a time during which it has become a hallmark of world architecture, Margraf has inaugurated the first edition of Marble Stories, an international exhibition, which will focus every year on art, design and architecture. The first edition is curated by Giulio Delvè, an artist of international renown and this year's theme was “A Soft Stone Born from the Sea.” Margraf has hosted 6 international artists at its headquarters in Chiampo (Vicenza) giving them a block of 1 cubic metre of Vicenza stone to shape as they please. The winner is James Fausset Harris (Jeddah – Saudi Arabia – 1982), with its work “Three worlds”. After graduating in sculpture, Harris currently lives and works mainly in Carrara. All works will be exhibited from September 29th to October 1st in Verona at the Marmomacc International Trade Fair and sold for charity by the end of the year. The proceeds will be entirely donated to the Città della Speranza - City of Hope - Foundation, which has been engaged for years in the fight against paediatric haematological malignancies.

Mini at the London Design Festival At the London Design Festival 2016, to be held form 17 to 25 September, Mini is

exhibiting the Mini Living “Forests” installation by Asif Khan, which is inspired by the Japanese idea of ‘Shinrin yoku’, which literally means ‘forest bathing’. It means every sense switches to absorb the forest atmosphere – what you hear, what you smell, even the feeling underfoot. The three ‘themed’ rooms (Connect, Create, and Relax) are located in the busy urban surroundings of Shoreditch in London. The Connect Space is a place for meeting up and catching up – spontaneously or pre-planned. A large table forms the centrepiece of the room. The best possible ambience in which to focus on work, meanwhile, is provided by the Create Space. It represents an island of creativity and productivity, and allows users to arrange its furnishings as they wish. The Relax Space welcomes visitors with an abundance of plants and invites them to take a step back from everyday life and relax. With this installation, the Mini brand is continuing the conversation on future city living which it started at this year’s Salone del Mobile in Milan.
