Premier Klercide-CR Sterile Biocide B

A sterile broad spectrum rotational disinfectant with excellent sporicidal activity.

Advantages

Very effective including good sporicidal activity

Premier Klercide-CR Biocide B will control most risks of contamination including difficult bacterial spores. It can be used as part of a rotation, or for action point use to remove troublesome organisms.

Easy to use

Premier Klercide-CR Biocide B is non-corrosive under normal use, so it can be used in most cleanroom applications. The fully adjustable trigger spray allows liquid to be dispensed as either a jet or a spray which is particularly useful in critical areas. Alternatively, ready to use product and concentrates are available for use in large facilities.

Cost effective

All the biocide can be dispensed from the bottle so there is no wastage. The SteriShield Delivery System

has been validated to give an in-use shelf life of three months so there is no need to discard unused product.

Description

Premier Klercide-CR Biocide B is a sterile cleanroom biocide. It consists of a blend of stabilised chlorine

dioxide and a quaternary ammonium compound. Its broad spectrum activity includes troublesome bacterial spores. It possesses fast kill rates and no additional activators are required.

Premier Klercide-CR Biocide B is suitable for use on all types of hard surfaces in cleanrooms and controlled environments, isolators, LAF’s, equipment exteriors and production vessels.

The biocide blend is 0.2 micron filtered, aseptically filled and double bagged under Grade A laminar flow in Grade B (ISO Class 5) cleanroom using a strictly controlled and validated aseptic process.

The trigger spray bottles incorporate the patented SteriShield Delivery System and an adjustable trigger. The way in which the SteriShield Delivery System works, as a closed system, ensures that the sterility of the contents is preserved throughout use.

Ready to use product is available in 1 litre trigger sprays and 5 litre capped bottles. For larger areas 5 litre bottles of concentrate, for dilution with water of suitable quality, are available.

Activity

Sporicidal Activity B.subtilis var.niger, B.licheniformis, B.cereus, B.pumilis, B.sphaericus, B.subtilis

Bactericidal Activity

S.aureus, K.pneumoniae, E.coli, E.hirae, S.epidermidis, S.choleraesuis, C.perfringens, C.botulinium, P.aeruginosa, M.smegmatis, M.tuberculosis, M.luteus, S.capitis, S.hominis, Vancomycin res. Enterococci

Virucidal Activity Influenza A2, Hong Kong-Virus 68, Herpes HSV-2, HIV, Hepatitis B

Fungicidal Activity A.niger, A.fumigatus, T.interdigitale, C.albicans

Protocol for use

Ready to use

Apply the ready to use product directly onto non-porous surfaces using a cleanroom low particulate wipe or mop to ensure complete coverage. Allow a contact time of at least 5 minutes and then wipe dry. Where residues must be totally eliminated, wipe down with alcohol such as Klercide 70/30 or water.

Concentrate

5 litres of concentrated product should be diluted as a 1:3 dilution with water of suitable quality to make 20 litres of diluted disinfectant. Mix well before use.

Premier Klercide-CR Biocide B can be used as part of a rotational regime. Standard best practice of disinfect, wipe and rinse routine should always be used and note should be taken of the safety datasheet which gives conditions and chemicals to avoid for each product.

Use biocides safely. Always read the label and product information before use.

Validation

Manufactured by a EN ISO 9001:2008, EN ISO 13485:2003 and European Medical Device Directive 93/42/EEC accredited company.

CEN Test Data available on request.

Achieves log 3 reduction in bacillus spores within 5 minutes, using a modified CEN1276:1997 suspension test. Also effective against Hepatitis B.
