The database activity in Moodle is one of the most versatile standard modules, it comes with a great preset called Image Gallery.

Indeed, presets are useful 'To avoid the necessity of always having to create a new database from scratch' (moodledocs)

Presets are ready-made database templates. This tutorial is about how

to create your own presets as well and share them in your Moodle site to be used in any course.

Preset tab has four sections:•Export as zip•Save as preset•Import from zip file•Use a preset

In 'Save as preset' section You must write a short namefor your preset and click 'Continue' button

Export section allows us to export database template as a Zip file. Export section allows us to export database template as a Zip file.

So far you have created a preset and share it in your Moodle site.But probably you need/like to save it in your hard disk too. To do thatuse 'Export' section under 'Preset' tab.

Export tab is used to export Moodle Database data in 3 different formats(CSV text, Excel, ODS), selecting which field(s) in the database you wish to export.
