Over last 12 months Secure Business Computing Solutions Ltd haveundertaken over 200 GDPR engagements for organisations around theUK ranging from as little as 2-3 days per client to just shy of 7 months fora major Government department. This major government Departmenthad been running a GDPR project for some time and recognised theirInternal project team lacked the level of expertise to deliver what wasrequired in such a short time frame. As a result, SBCS was engaged inMarch 2018 by one of its strategic partners to provide ongoing GDPRconsultancy to ensure the Department was ready for the introduction ofthe new Data Protection legislation. This initial work involved,developing and implementing Policies and procedures to deal with DataSubject Access Requests, Data Breach Management, Developing DataInventory & Data Protection Impact Assessment tools as well DataRecording capabilities across the Department. Once GDPR and the revised Data Protection Act 2018 came into force SBC Solutions continued to support the Department and its DPOfunction to respond to often complex Subject Access Request whilstcontinuing to raise knowledge levels across the Department.
