Broiler production

Typical broilerhouse

• Aprox. 2000 m2 pr. house.

• Build in brix-. concrete elements or sandwich panels.

• Liter material (Wood shavings, peat moss, chopped straw.)

• Feed and water system is evenly placed in the house.

• Normally under pressure ventilation.

Life cycle for broiler produktion.

• Hatching time is 21 days

• The average age is 36 days.

• One chicken eat ca.3.65 kg feed and drink ca. 6.3 liter of water.

• Killing weight 2,175 kg

• 35- 40.000 birds pr house.

• Ca. 20 birds placed pr m2.

• Max 40 kg pr m2.

Preparation • The house is preheated to min. 25 – 28ºC before the

litter is placed.

• Temperature is ca. 33ºC, when the birds arriving.

• Humidity shout be min. 50%.

• Clean water

• Feed on paper.

• Place extra litter in the house.

• Feeder pans and drinking nipples shout be placed in chicken height.
