I have been in Premier for 2.5 years.
I am a full-time mommy. I was a 1st Grade teacher prior to having children and joining Premier.
I have been married to the love of my life for almost 7 years. David is a Pediatric ER Doctor and
certainly my Mr. Premier! He supports me more than I could ever ask or imagine!
We have three beautiful children–Cori Belle who is 3 years old, Finley Grace who is 19 months old, and
Tucker who was actually born a few hours after Regional Rally on January 12th!
We are very involved in our church and my husband even leads a small group for young married men.
We love spending time together as a family, hiking, exercising, and eating out.
My WhyBefore I joined Premier, I was a 1st Grade Teacher and my husband was in Medical School. Six months into my husband’s Pediatric Residency, we had our first baby and I could not fathom the idea of putting my new baby into daycare so I could take care of other people’s children while someone else took care of mine. My husband and I made the decision for me to stay home, but with his Residency salary, we were $300 short every month. A good friend of mine, who is my Premier Mama now, had just started Premier after quitting teaching to stay home with her first born. I attended one of her shows but my husband told me I couldn’t buy ANYTHING, so I booked a show instead to get it all for free! He happened to be home the evening of my Jewelry Show and I guess he was paying attention when the “Jewelry Lady” did her sponsoring talk. He kept my friend at our house for an extra hour after the show asking tons of questions about the business of Premier. As soon as she left, he turned to me and said, “This is how we are going to make that extra $300 every month.” I was actually the reluctant one, but he confidently told me that this could very well be the answer to me staying home with our children. I am SO glad I listened to my wise husband and thankful for the confidence he has in me to do this business every day! Premier allows me to focus on my FAMILY while still helping to provide financially and have a little something for me too!
My sponsoring begins with Hostess CoachingI have a Hostess Checklist that I go over with each one of my Hostesses during Hostess Coaching.
There are several important questions at the very bottom of my Hostess Checklist that I go over with them:
• Are you curious about Premier as a business?
• You could make this your Training Show and earn all the free jewelry, the bookings, and the 50% profit!
• I ask if they would like to hear the business opportunity of Premier. If they do, then I will schedule a time to go over the Marketing Brochure with them before their show. I have actually sponsored from this, and that Jewelry Show became a training show.
For those who are curious what’s in my Hostess Packet, it is very simple. Inside I have a Hostess Info sheet, Hostess Checklist, Advance Sale Order Form, and my last 10 Home Shows printed from Hood and House.
You must get personal to SponsorWhen sharing the opportunity of Premier, I first want to know how
Premier could help them. Everyone has a different need for Premier and if I

know what theirs is, then I can tailor the business opportunity
specifically for them so they can see how Premier can really
work in their life.
I simply go through the Marketing Brochure. I talk A LOT
about the type of company Premier is - their integrity and
God honoring values, why they started and how they are
different from the rest.
I spend a lot of time going through what their financial need is
and how many Jewelry Shows they would need to do monthly
to reach that goal. I ask them if that seems feasible for them.
I explain the 10-10-10 in detail giving real life examples from
my downline and how I was able to fully replace my teaching
salary, and then some!
Before moving on to how much it costs to get into the
business, I ask them to tell me on a scale from 1-10, how
interested they are after hearing the details of Premier. I then
say, “You can start your business in Premier for a cost between
$400 and $1200 depending on how much jewelry you want.
And, remember this is YOUR own business. If you were to
open a store front, a restaurant, or any other kind of business,
it would cost you a lot more than $1200! So, just listen before
letting a dollar amount sway your decision on something that
could change your life!”
When I explain what the $395 covers I really talk up each
item listed in the Marketing Brochure. If I am excited about
what Premier provides with that $395, they will be too! I think
the fact that shipping on our personal items is covered by
Premier in that $395 is one of the most exciting things to tell
prospects!
I move on to jewelry packages and spend a lot of time talking
about what they are actually getting for their money with
each package. I think it’s important for them to know the
breakdown of what a piece of jewelry costs with each package.
$11 a piece of jewelry is a GREAT deal and I want them to
know that!!!
After I’ve talked about startup costs, I ask them again, “On a
scale of 1-10, how interested are you in Premier after hearing
the costs?” I don’t want startup costs to be the reason
someone doesn’t do Premier so this question allows me to
address that right away.
Then I ask what their start-up time frame would be. Do they
want to start now? 6 months from now? This allows me to
move forward with them to meet their specific needs and also
helps our conversation as we talk about a Training Show and
Quick Start.
At the end of every OP I stress the honesty, integrity, and God
honoring values of Premier again. I tell them how much it has
changed my life and how thankful I am that someone shared
this business with me. I thank them for their time and tell
them that I will follow up in the next day to answer any other
questions and see what their final decisions are. I tell them
that I will be praying for them (and then I actually pray for
them my entire drive home from the OP)!
My Sponsoring activityThe first thing I do at a Jewelry Show is have all the guests
go around to introduce themselves. They say their name, how
they know the Hostess, and what they would do with an extra
$1000 dollars a month.
After that, I introduce myself, say how I know the Hostess,
and that by working just 5 days a month in Premier I am able
to make that extra $1000 a month. I tell them that it is what
allows me to be a stay-at-home mom and with it we pay bills
and save up to do fun things for our family. I then invite them
to watch what I do because it’s as easy as pie!
I play the Purse Game at my Jewelry Shows. When I get to
“D” for “Dream Job” I say, “I did not go to school to become
a jewelry lady, but I’m sure glad I am one now!” I explain that
I make 50%, can work whenever I want to, and that I get paid
FIRST and then pay Premier what they are owed for the cost
of the jewelry.
After that, we jump right into Big Money. I look to the girl who
has really been paying attention and say to her, “Sally, you are
going to be a Jewelry Lady for the next 20 seconds. You make
50%, can work whenever you want to, and get paid the night
of your show. You also get to eat free snacks and make a ton
of new friends every time you leave your house. Let’s say that
you go out to do a Jewelry Show on a Tuesday night because
that’s what works best for your schedule. It’s a National
Average $400 show. How much money did you make?” At
that point everyone chimes in with $200. I then pay her $200.
I continue to act out the same scenario with 2 other women
having a $600 show and a $1000 show, paying them each
time. I tell them that it is just that easy! Then, I give them 60
seconds to ask me as many questions as they want to about
my job. I tell them to be as nosey as they want to be and give
each person who asks a question an extra ticket towards the
grand prize at the end of the show, which is always a free pair
of earrings.
i then direct them to their guest surveysI ask them to answer question number 2, which states, “You
could easily be making an extra $1000 a month by working
just one night a week in Premier. How curious are you to
hear more information?”
Then I move to the scale of 1-10 questions. I read the
question aloud to them and then say, “A one means that
you are never, ever, ever interested in what I do as a jewelry
lady. A ten means that you are pretty interested and would
like to know some more information. And, a 5 is cheating!
You are either above a 5 or below a 5. So please circle just
one number. And, remember, this comes with a NO stalker
guarantee! I will not ask for your mother’s maiden name,
show up at your front door, or call you repeatedly! I would
simply like to get some information to you and maybe
even buy you a cup of coffee to tell you more. It’s JUST
information!!”
After the presentation portion of the show, I look at those
guest surveys right away! This allows me to schedule OP’s
with individuals who are interested that night! This is so
important!!
Lining up a one on one must be top priorityIf someone is interested in Premier at a Jewelry Show, I will
share with them as much as I can through casual conversation
while we are there interacting with one another. I will then
set up a time to meet with them THAT NIGHT, just like I
would sit down to book a show with someone. I schedule the
OP as soon as we can possibly meet! I normally always take
people to Starbucks for coffee. I find personal interaction is
so much better than a phone OP.
I like to get OP’s on the calendar within 3 days from meeting
them. Sometimes it doesn’t always work out that way. If I
can’t schedule the OP within 3 days, then I will make sure
to stay in good communication up until the day we meet. I
may send a card in the mail, text with them, friend them on
Facebook, and I will definitely call the day before to say how
excited I am to see them the next day.
Follow-up is crucial to sponsoringImmediately after the OP, I ask them on a scale of 1-10 how
interested they are in joining the Premier Family.
I ask for their next steps, meaning who do they need to talk
to to finalize their decision or what things do they need to
get in order to make a decision.
I will more than likely call them the very next day to thank
them for taking the time to meet with me and see if they
have any other questions that I could answer to help them
make their decision. If they aren’t ready at that time, I will
continue to remain in contact with them on a friend level and

just keep living out Premier in hopes that they see what a
difference it’s made in my life.
Discuss a plan B option with your prospectsOf course the Jeweler Rewards Card is always a great option
for people who don’t have the money up front, but you can’t
let the Jeweler Rewards Card be the end all, be all. If someone
doesn’t get approved, I first ask them if they have someone
who would be willing to apply for the card on their behalf and
add them on as an authorized user.
Some other suggestions are a garage sale, sell something
on Craigslist, sell old jewelry to buy new jewelry, or have a
fundraiser show on their behalf.
Don’t Overlook Lifestyle SponsoringI meet a lot of people at my Jewelry Shows, but I feel like
it’s my lifestyle of truly living out Premier and how God has
worked in my life through Premier that gets people excited
about signing up.
The secret to sponsoringI think there are two important aspects that go into
sponsoring. First and foremost, it is living out Premier. Premier
is my lifestyle. It’s not just something I do; it’s a part of who
I am. God gave Joan and Andy the vision of Premier for a
reason and it was to enrich lives and provide purpose in
people’s lives. I truly BELIEVE that! When I talk to people I
meet about what I do, I don’t really talk about selling jewelry.
I talk about the ability to meet and serve women, and to truly
love and care for those God brings me through Premier. It’s a
ministry and those that know me know that about me. I am
excited about what I do and it shines bright for others to see.
The second aspect that goes into sponsoring is the Jewelry
Show. I strive more than anything else to make my Jewelry
Show fun and simple! The more fun people have, the more
they can see themselves doing what I do and having fun doing
it. The fun factor is also what gets more bookings on my
calendar. The more fun people have, the more bookings I get,
the more people I meet, the more I sponsor. It’s a repeating
cycle. And, simplicity is duplicable. I want others to know what
I do is easy and they can do it too!
Premier has enriched my lifePremier has truly become a ministry for me. Enriching the
lives of others is what enriches mine. Premier allows me
to pour into the lives of women I wouldn’t get to meet
otherwise! I love what Premier stands for and that it allows
fellow mommies like me to put their families first. I feel
especially called to share the hope of Premier with working
moms who so desperately want to be home with their
babies. I also have been so blessed by the friendships Premier
has given me. We recently moved to Birmingham just seven
months ago. I knew two people upon moving here. Seven
months later I feel SO blessed by the amount of friendships
I have. Almost all of the close friendships I have formed have
been through Jewelry Shows. I am so thankful for that!
