Daniel Kwasi Twum -Acheampong Was Captain Of The Soccer Team Of His School

Daniel Kwasi Twum-Acheampong is an engineering student and a sports enthusiast. He is currently enrolled at University of Virginia for a degree in Civil Engineering. He is a pass out from the prestigious Eastern Regional High School, Voorhees, NJ. He is a promising and ambitious student who looks forward to a bright future. He developed interest and passion for sports from his early years in Eastern Regional High School.

He stated playing soccer for his school team and became the captain of the team, which is commonly called Vikings. He was an athletic player and coached by Steve Kosyla. He represented his team at various competitions as a strong defender and was named a second-team all-South Jersey selection by the South Jersey Coaches association. He is admired for his one-to-one marking.

He was the SJSCA South Jersey Defensive Player of the year 2010. His team won various titles including 1st team all Olympic American Conference 2009-2010, 1st Team all-state, 1st Team all South Jersey, 1st Team all South Jersey Group IV 2009-2010, ADIDAS 2nd Team all-region and NSCAA 2nd Team all-region. Along with Soccer, Daniel Kwasi Twum-Acheampong also plays tennis, volleyball, golf, lacrosse, and basketball.

He is a member of the National Honor Society. He took part in various extracurricular activities in school and volunteered his services for many organizations. Even in college, he makes it sure to participate in extracurricular activities organized by the college. He also plans to play for the college soccer team. He loves music and won acclaims for his excellence in musicianship and guitarship in school.

Daniel Kwasi Twum-Acheampong supports Outreach360 and African Book Challenge along with many other social organizations. He not only teaches English to orphan children, but also participates in fund raising activities organized by Outreach360. He is a volunteer Soccer coach and coaches a group of elementary school children in the Voorhees Soccer Association.

Being associated with Inter-Fraternity Judiciary Council, which investigates fraternity related complaints and incidents, and writes reports to facilitate court proceedings. His family moved to United States around 27 years ago from Ghana. He goes back to villages of Ghana to help underprivileged children and offer them donations, which he gathers while volunteering for African Book Challenge.
