Howden North America Inc. manufactures and supplies fans, blowers, rotary heat exchangers, process gas compressors, and gas handling equipment for utility and industrial applications and they offer aftermarket services, construction management and turnkey operations. It serves customers in biomass, cement, HVAC, iron and steel, mining, navy and marine, nuclear, petrochemical, power, transportation, and tunnel ventilation industries with revenues of $1.4B in 2015. Resident inspector for Howden at suppliers and construction sites; performing continuous inspection of all phases of assigned projects including materials, methods, and workmanship; and checks for compliance with plans, specifications, and regulations. Internally trained and certified as a Lead Auditor for ISO 9001:2008 and 10CFR app B audits. As a Lead Auditor no facilities have failed an ISO 9001: 2008 or NUPIC audit. Led a kaizen event to approve suppliers who were ISO 9001 certified and produced consistently acceptable product and parts to be evaluated for dock-to-stock thus reducing the requirement for three inspectors to two; re-utilized the position in a production role.
