Senior creative artworker and retoucher with over 13 years experience and a wealth of knowledge from design agency and in-house positions on both Mac and PC. With a very broad based skill set incorporating excellent use of Creative Suite for retouching and artworking including interactive PDFs and traditional typesetting, a good understanding of digital asset creation and an ability to quickly learn and adapt to new processes and techniques.

Experience April 2016 – ODD (London)Freelance Creative Artworker and Retoucher

ODD is an integrated creative agency working with some of the world’s best-loved fashion and lifestyle brands.

Providing freelance support for the design team, mainly retouching with a few artworking text amends. Retouching involved generating social media campaign assets for Benefit Cosmetics and a series of animated gifs for Levi’s. One of the bigger tasks involved a batch of around 80 fashion images for Eastpak, which ranged from simple colour balancing to refining and cleaning individual shots, all done at full resolution for print, with a view that they may be used on large format in-store.

Jan 2016 to April 2016 – MerchantCantos (London)Freelance Senior Creative Artworker

MerchantCantos are an international, integrated creative communications agency. Helping companies shape messages, bring them to life and engage audiences – across a range of channels.

Key responsibilities: Creative artworking, promotional materials, typesetting, corporate reporting and presentations.

Initially for only a two week period, but extended to two and a half months, I supported the production department through the busy season. The initial two weeks were spent producing a range of promotional materials comprising of around 20 different documents in various formats, including artworking illustrations and setting up Word and PowerPoint templates. This then lead to being rolled out across 12 different language variations. Additionally assisting with amends, corrections and retouching for the various annual reports going through the studio.

Nov 2011 to Dec 2015 – Conran Design Group (London)Senior Creative Artworker

Conran Design Group cover every aspect of brand expression, from positioning, naming and identity, to campaigns, environments, packaging and corporate reporting.

Key responsibilities: Creative artworking, retouching, packaging, POS, signage, typesetting, large format displays and banners, and night shift team management.

During my time at CDG I have worked on a wide range of projects; from simple leaflets to complex annual reporting suites for clients such as Rolls-Royce, Burberry and Associated British Foods; producing logo families, brand guidelines and large format graphic panels for Cancer Research UK and Visa; work undertaken for Shell covers global brand guidelines, internal shop signage and advertising as well as POS and packaging for their sub brand Deli2go.

In the peak of the reporting season I took the role of night shift manager, overseeing the freelance team during the night turnarounds. The main challenges were finding solutions to issues while designers, project managers and clients were unavailable to help answer queries or problems.

The working environment is fast paced and requires a great ability to manage multiple large scale projects with meticulous attention to detail under incredibly tight deadlines. While most of my work has been print based I have been increasingly involved in digital, creating complex interactive PDFs and producing assets for online.
