BEST OF BREED COMPETITION"The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition. Dogs that areChampions of Record. Dogs which according to their owner's records have completed the requirementsfor a championship but whose championships are unconfirmed. The entry and showing of dogs whosechampionships are unconfirmed is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dogcompleted the requirement for a championship according to the owner's records. If at the end of the 90-day period, the championship of a dog has not been confirmed by the American Kennel Club, no furtherentries of the dog for Best of Breed competition are to be made until its championship has been confirmedby the AKC."

AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB SCHEDULE OF POINTSEFFECTIVE MAY 13, 2015

For complete Conformation Championship requirements see Chapter 16 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows

The Points toward a Championship shall be awarded to the Winners Dog and Bitch of each breed or

variety based on the actual number of dogs or bitches competing in that breed or variety.If the dog designated Winners Dog or Winners Bitch is also awarded Best of Breed or Variety, the

dogs of both sexes that have been entered for Best of Breed or Variety competition and that have beendefeated in such competition, shall be counted in addition to the dogs that competed in the regular classesfor its sex in calculating championship points.

If the dog designated Winners Dog or Winners Bitch Is also awarded Best of Opposite Sex to Best ofBreed or Variety, the dogs of its own sex that have been entered for Best of Breed or Variety competitionthat have been defeated in competition for Best of Opposite Sex, shall be counted in addition to the dogsthat competed in the regular classes for its sex in calculating championship points.

After points have been computed for Winners Dog and Winners Bitch subject to the above two stipula-tions, the dog awarded the Best of Winners shall be credited with the number of points calculated forWinners Dog or Winners Bitch, whichever is greater.

In counting the number of eligible dogs in competition, a dog that is disqualified, or that is dismissed,excused or ordered from the ring by the judge, or from which all awards are withheld shall not be included.Any dog which shall have won fifteen points shall become a Champion of Record, if six or more of saidpoints shall have been won at two shows with a rating of three or more championship points each andunder two different judges, and some one or more of the balance of said points shall have been wonunder some other judge or judges than the two judges referred to above.

NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS

All buildings will be open at 6:00 AM. Specialty parking is available after 1PM Thursday. No exhibitor ACCESS to any buildings before 6 AM Friday—No exceptions.

Rings are in the BING CROSBY, EXHIBIT, & PAT O’BRIEN HALLS.(Dalmatians will be in the Exhibit Hall.)

NO DOGS ALLOWED IN EXHIBIT HALL OR O'BRIEN HALL AFTER 6 PM& NO DOGS ARE ALLOWED TO PRACTICE IN RINGS.

Loading zone: Will be in front of the Don Diego Clock Tower. Ten minutesmaximum to unload dogs and move vehicle to parking area.

Handicapped parking is available to those with DMV plates/placards. Handi-capped parking is to provide easy (paved) access, not necessarily next toring. All parking is at your own risk.

Crates and tables will not be allowed in the aisles of the show area, or within30 feet of any ring unless marked otherwise. Exercise pens are not allowedin any buildings. No crates, pens, grooming or parking of vehicles will bepermitted between the Bing Crosby Hall and Exhibit Hall and Pat O’BrienHall.

Electricity will be very limited inside all buildings.

Flexible and/or retractable leads are prohibited in and around all the buildingsduring show hours.

Guards will patrol throughout the show. No parking in fire lanes (which are 20feet from all buildings.)

Please bring your own chairs, as chairs will not be available at ringside.

Exhibitors will be held responsible for clean conditions in and around theircrates both during and after the show. Waste water may NOT be emptied onthe grounds or drained into open containers.

Clean-up is your responsibility! Pooper scoopers will be placed at all X-pens,and clean-up personnel will patrol the grounds near rings. If your dog soilsthe parking lot or show grounds, you are responsible for clean-up. Pleasenotify a show official if you see an area needing clean-up.

Dalmatian Club of San Diego County and Silver Bay Kennel Club reserve theright to remove any animal in distress from a parked vehicle or crate, and allpersons attending these dog shows hereby waive any claim for damagesagainst either club for such removal.

All recording rights shall belong to DCSDC and SBKC, respectively whileshows are in progress. Attendance grants permission to use the above with-out further release or consent.

No set-ups of food or drinks in the buildings. The fairgrounds strictly enforcesthis provision. No raffles, games of chance or donation soliciting is allowed inany of the buildings. No peddling, soliciting, delivery of merchandise or pass-ing out publications or literature without the written permission of SBKC.

Each dog handled in a Junior Showmanship Class must be entered in one of the Breed or Obe-dience Classes at the show, or must be entered for Junior Showmanship only. However, a dogmay be substituted. Such substitution must be accompanied by an official AKC entry form. Allsuch substitutions must be made one half-hour prior to the judging of any Junior ShowmanshipClasses at the show. Each dog must be owned or co-owned by the Junior Handler or by theJunior Handler's father, mother, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, grandfather or grandmother, includ-ing step and half relations or by a member of the Junior Handler's household. Every dog enteredfor Junior Showmanship must be eligible to compete in Dog Shows or in Obedience Trials.BITCHES IN SEASON ARE NOT ELIGIBLE. A dog that has been excused or disqualified by aBreed Judge or by a Bench Show Committee may still be handled in Junior Showmanship ifeligible to compete in Obedience Trials. A dog that has been rejected, dismissed, or excused bythe Veterinarian for the protection of the other dogs at the show or for the protection of the dogexcused may not be handled in Junior Showmanship.
