Dale Newsletter
Primary Inter School Netball
Well done to our Netball teams representing Dale at the Inter-Schools Carnival on
Thursday 6th June. Congratulations to our Year 5 & 6 girls, they played some great netball in a very
tough competition.
This was the first year the boys were invited to Netball and there were only 7 teams. Even
though the competition was very fierce, playing Schools like Swan and South Coast Baptist, we
are very proud of our boys team who then triumphed, having an unbeaten record and then
taking home the banner for Dale.
Thanks also to our loyal helpers, Mrs Rachel Alofipo, Retha Brink, Hannah Gethin and Mr Hilton
Brastchi. Also thank you to Brigitte, Danielle and Joshua for your help.

SIDEFFECT PRESENTATION
Year 9 and 10 students attended a presentation by the group Sideffect on Friday 7th June. The presentation focused on the dangers of synthetic drugs and was presented by Rod Bridge whose son died after taking a synthetic drug.
Students were reminded that even just once is too risky. The students responded well to the presentation and asked some very insightful questions. We pray that this will be useful information for them.
YEAR 1 EXCURSION TO REMIDA
On Monday 10th June, the Yr 1s made our way out into the rain to go and visit REmida WA.
When we got there we were asked to make an eco system. We learnt about the importance of rubbish and how we can minimise our waste. We had a chance to build some really cool things. We used tools like hammers and screwdrivers, old screws and scraps of materials. It was a great challenge reusing materials to make it into something new.
Then we went to Kings Park and enjoyed our lunch. Due to the weather, we had to stay undercover. Instead of playing on the playground we got to learn a few new dance moves. It was a superb day!
Always use full loads in your washing machine and dishwasher – this cuts out unnecessary washes in between.
