Time Activity

Description /FocusGive a 5 min warning before changing activities.

Arrival-8:15am Interest Centers Children arriving. Children exploring interest areas. LimitedCenters. Child directed.

8:15-8:30am Transition Choose chores for the day, breakfast helpers cleans table andset table for breakfast. Other children look at books quietly

and take turns washing hands.

8:30-9:00 Breakfast/Clean-up  Enjoy meal, children talking with teacher(s) and classmates.After breakfast children set-up circle time mats and prepare

for circle time.

9:00-9:15am Circle Time  Prayer, Songs, Story, Calendar, Weather, Discussion, etc

9:15am-10:15am Learning

Centers/Choice Time 

Art, blocks, cooking, writing, reading, science, math and/or 

Dramatic play Activities.10:15-10:30 Transition  Clean-up/Cots

10:30-11:00 Outdoors/Music Running, Jumping, Games, sand/play,etc.

Dancing to Music.

11:00 Transition Sit on cots quietly, wash hands, prepare for lunch

11:00-11:30 Lunch Enjoy mealtime, teacher encourages conversations. Etc

11:45-2:30pm Quiet Time Rest on cots or look at books quietly

2:00-2:30 Literacy Time Write in Journals

2:45-3:00 Snack Time Enjoy mealtime, teacher encourages conversations

3:00-3:15 Recall/Wrap-up day Recall/discuss activities, story, etc.

3:15-3:45 Learning Centers Art, blocks, reading, science, math and/or Dramatic play

centers.

3:45-4:15 Outdoors/Games Outdoors for at least 1-hour and/or Indoor Games

Ages 2-5yrs combined.

4:15-Departure Free Choice Activities Art, blocks, reading, science, math and/or Dramatic playcenters
