DAILY NOTICES TE PANUI DAY 6 Tuesday 11 th February 2020 TE RA 6 Turei 11 Pepuere 2020 Duty Deputy Principal: Mrs Strang All Year 10 to 13 students who would like to use the fitness centre at lunchtimes this year need to collect a sign-up sheet from outside Mrs Hastie’s office in the Deans area. The form then needs to be returned to the box outside Mrs Hastie’s office. Students are not able to use the centre unless a completed form is returned. There is no charge to use the centre and it is open every lunchtime for student use. Debating sign-ups for 2020 will be held on Tuesday lunchtime in J3. Anyone interested in participating in debating this year should come. New debaters are welcome. Please email Mr Shadbolt or Miss Meeks if you are unable to attend. Chinese Night - Any Year 12s who would like to apply to be a Chinese Night Leader, please come to A21 at lunchtime Thursday to collect an application form. Science Club: For students of all levels who are keen to enter science competitions or work on a long term group project. First meeting Wednesday Week 3 (19th Feb) in S13. See Mrs McLean if you have any questions. Korean Night: If you are interested in being part of Korean Night this year, we have a meeting in M16 this Thursday lunchtime. See Mr Bissett or Mr Lee (LEH) if you have any questions. Wearable Art Competition - Anyone interested in designing a wearable art piece for the Eye on Nature Competition this year please see Mrs Freestone in L11 at lunchtime on Wednesday for more details. If you can’t make it to that meeting please email on [email protected] We had a winner from the school last year who now features on their advertising poster and walked away with a cheque for $500. Theatre Sports! If you are creative, have a good sense of humour and enjoy performance then Theatre Sports might just be for you! Theatre Sports is a competitive form of improvisational theatre. We meet Wednesday lunchtimes in PA2. First meeting will be Wednesday 12th February. For more information contact Ms Hunt in the Drama department [email protected]. This course is run in association with the UNITEC School of Sport. It provides challenging and enjoyable

contributing to a team. In doing this course students will learn more about themselves and each other using

adventure based learning, cooperative games, trust and problem solving activities and low and high

elements of the ropes course while having FUN! You will have the opportunity to gain unit standards 467,

470 and 473 – 9 level 2 credits.

You can take MUSIC TUITION at school on Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass, Flute/Piccolo,

Oboe, Clarinet/Bass Clarinet, Bassoon, all Saxophones, Trumpet, Trombone, Cornet, French Horn, Euphonium/Baritone, Tuba, Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar, Keyboard, Piano, Drums, Voice, Music Theory, Music Technology. This tuition is for Rangitoto College students only and is held mostly during school time.
