• The Integrated Health Information Platform is the next generation highly refined version of Integrated

Disease Surveillance Programme.

• India is the first country in the world to adopt such an advanced disease surveillance system.

• The new version will house the data entry and management for India’s disease surveillance program.

• It will track 33 diseases now as compared to the earlier 18 diseases and would ensure near-real-time

data in digital mode.

• Justice NV Ramana has been appointed as the next Chief Justice of India by President Ram Nath Kovind. He

will take oath on April 24,2021.

• He will serve as the 48th Chief Justice of India till August 26, 2022 i.e. for a term of over sixteen months.

• Chief Justice of India SA Bobde, who is due to retire on April 23, had recommended Justice NV Ramana as his

successor.

• He was the Chief Justice of Delhi High Court and the acting Chief Justice of Andhra Pradesh High Court

earlier.

• He has also served as the president of the Andhra Pradesh Judicial Academy.

• He was born in an agricultural family on 27 August 1957 in Ponnavaram village in Krishna district of Andhra

Pradesh.
