Combos are triggered when an enemy has a Status applied to them and then a Detonator is used on them. There are several different Combo Effects, which Combo Effect is triggered is determined by which Status was applied and which type of Detonator was used.

Combo EFFECTS:

Rupture: Heavy damage over time, ignoring armourShatter: Heavy cold damageDischarge: Strong electric damage to all nearby enemiesNightmare: Strong damage and causes panicked statusWeakness: Strong damage and causes weakness statusBasic combo: Moderate bonus damage

STATUS â ready to be Detonated and which Detonation Effect (see above) is triggered:

Stun:Impact Detonator (Warrior, Basic combo),Precision Detonator (Rogue, Rupture),Eldritch Detonator(Mage, Weakness)

Basic example and one that youâve probably seen happen in-game already: Solas uses Winterâs Grasp to trigger the Freeze status on an enemy then Varric uses Long Shot to Detonate the enemy triggering the Shatter Combo Effect for massive frost damage.

Or another example: Cassandra uses an upgraded Payback Strike triggering the Stun status on an enemy then Solas uses Mind Blast or Dispel to Detonate trigging the Weakness Combo Effect doing extra damage and debuffing the enemy.

Lots of cool possibilities including some Classes who can trigger their own âCross Classâ Combos (Rift Mages for example have an Impact Detonator which usually only War

riors use).
