Batteries
Requires 4 “AA” batteries
Do NOT us rechargeable batteries
To change batteries use a Phillip’s Head screwdriver to remove the screw on the left side of the device to replace the batteries

What is a Level?
A level is the individual page that has either the photographs or icon representations printed on that page

Levels
On this particular device you can have 12 different Levels (pages) that you can have preprogrammed for an individual student

How do I make the individual levels or pages?
You can make the levels or pages on Boardmaker
Photographs can be utilized

First go to Boardmaker with your CD already in your computer

Select Open a template

Finally, start making the student’s individual pages

Now that you have the pages what do you do next?
Place the page in the slot located on the right side of the device

Turn the Unit ON and VOLUME
On the top of the device you will turn the device on and off via the Volume switch
This toggle switch also serves as the volume control

Level Select
The Level Select toggle switch is the actual page you are using
Make sure that you place a notation on each page as to what level you are going to record on, so that you do not need to search for the page

Recording
Now that you have your Level Selected you can start to program
Press and hold the RED Record Button, and then press and hold the desired window compartment on the front of the unit

Recording Continued
Talk into the Microphone located next to the Record Button while both the record button and the window compartment on the front of the unit is held down

Playback
Playback your message in order to check the recording by touching the window compartment on the front of the unit

Finishing Up
Finally, record all of the messages for your frames and give the unit to your student to use

Turn Off
Remember to turn the device off when not in use to save battery life

Problem Solving
If you start to hear static sounds or the device starts to cut off the message, try replacing the batteries
