My thesis work aimed at merging bioarchitecture andrestoration; it consisted in the realization of a tourist hotel /traditional restaurant by restructuring an abandoned ruraldwelling in Puglia, Italy. Environmentally-friendlytechnologies were applied to make the project energeticallysustainable. In this work I conducted a historical study on the

traditional rural constructions in the surroundings, studiedsolutions for the restructuring of the existing structure, andplanned new ones. I also conducted structural analysis onsome of these structures.
