2008 - present Attending Physician at Mercy Medical Center, Baltimore, MD. Clinical practice includes 12 physicians. For the last 12 months received over 500 referrals, billed for 307 clinic/office patients’ visits and performed over 500 endoscopic procedures.

Development of New Clinical Programs 2005 EUS-Guided Intravascular Interventions: Organized research

program to study endoscopic interventions on portal vein and its branches.

2004 Natural Orifice Translumenal Endoscopic Surgery (NOTES): Developed and performed the first animal and first human NOTES procedures at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine.

2000 Experimental Endoscopy: Developed experimental endoscopy program and established strong track record (over 50 original papers) of research in the field of experimental endoscopy and NOTES.

2009 Endoscopic resection of benign and early malignant tumors of GI tract: Established large referral base and currently perform approximately 500 resections of GI tract lesions per year.

2010 Deep small bowel enteroscopy. Developed double-balloon enteroscopy program at Mercy Medical Center which serves as referral base for patients from Maryland, West Virginia, and Delaver (approximately 80 patients annually)..

2010 Full-thickness purely endoscopic resection of GI tract lesions: Developed and performed numerous animal and first human purely endoscopic full-thickness resections of GI tract lesions.

2011 Endoscopic suturing of entero-cutaneous fistulas, iatrogenic injuries, anastomotic dehiscences, etc. Introduced into clinical practice endoscopic suturing device. Performed over 100 procedures in USA and abroad (China, Spain, Russia). Performed numerous live demonstrations and hands-on teaching for physicians in USA and abroad.

2011 Endoscopic correctiojn of weight re-gain after bariatric surgery. Closely working with several bariatric surgeons in Baltimore and perform endoscopic revision of gastro-jejunal anastomosis in patients who failed bariatric surgery. Currently developing procedures for primary endoscopic treatment of obesity.

2012 Minimally invasive treatment of actively bleeding internal hemorrhoids. Introduced into clinical practice brand new device for endoscopic correction of hemorrhoids. Made several presentations on national and international scientific meetings (Russia, Netherland).
