PERSONAL SUMMARY
From the start of my working career in 1981, I have always been a hands-on person/employee who wanted to understand and experience the activities of business at every level.
This served me well in my career from Management Accountant into Logistics, manufacturing , marketing , IT management, and then my career in Business and Manufacturing Consulting. I can relate well with people at all levels and have the flexibility of working well as part of a team, or individually. (Management or Hands-on)
I am comfortable working in a fast paced, stress related, growth orientated work environment and possess a proven ability to ensure that whatever the functions,
messages, standards, or communications are, these are understood and implemented effectively.
These characteristics were well tested in my duties as Managing Director of M I Solutions. The business was the appointed EMEA licensee to an ERP Software solution (MAPICS) and we were responsible for marketing and sales, implementations (Hardware/Software), training, support, and all related aspects, to ensure maximum benefits to our customers in the use of this solution. Also to ensure EMEA Sales targets were achieved. This required efficient, innovative and methodical marketing and extensive sales efforts, within the developing and defining of an overall marketing strategy to ensure we met our targets and goals.
Apart from my managerial responsibilities as MD, I was fortunate enough to also participate and contribute on a consulting basis (financial, IT and implementations) and to manage projects locally and in the middle east as part of our responsibility to our product owner (MAPICSs Inc) and to serve our customers! I have also conducted training sessions and product presentations locally, in the USA and in Saudi Arabia.
I am proud to say that we as M I Solutions were able to support our customers and managed to grow the market during the 4 years of being the licensee in S.A.
After my decision to leave the “rat race” and “semi-retire” I went farming. This was great, but I realised that I was too young to “retire” and started to miss the corporate world. I then started to invest in various business ventures. After years of farming and other small business ventures, I have decided to return to the business world and hopefully can once again, regain my place in the market as a manager of note!
My years of experience, skills and competencies will be an asset to any organisation. I need a challenge to prove my worth! I would prefer a senior management role to fully deploy my skills and experience.
