CV Antonella Buccianti, PhD Geochemistry Università di Firenze, Dipartimento di Scienze della Terra Dichiarazione sostitutiva ai sensi dell’art. 46 del D.P.R. 445/2000 Antonella Buccianti svolge attività di ricerca e docenza presso il Dipartimento di Scienze della Terra dell’Università di Firenze. Si occupa di geochimica computazionale, modellistica di dati geochimici e geostatistica con metodi per dati composizionali. E’ autrice di 47 pubblicazioni su riviste ISI, 14 contributi in volume internazionale, 3 libri e 7 volumi speciali, 37 proceedings di congressi internazionali e nazionali. Attualmente insegna Geochimica nel corso di Laurea specialistica in Scienza della Natura e dell’Uomo e Geochimica Ambientale nel corso di laurea specialistica in Scienze e Tecnologie Geologiche. E’ inoltre docente del corso Data Analysis and Environmental Modeling nel Master Internazonale Tropimundo di UNIFI. Scientific interest The scientific activity of A. B. is focused on the investigation of theoretical and practical problems affecting compositional data in Geochemistry and Environmental Sciences (compositions of waters, gases, soils and rocks), with particular attention to modelling procedures and to develop innovative tools to manage this type of data. It is known that compositional data move in constrained spaces where the principles of Euclidean geometry cannot be

applied and new tools has to be defined and applied to better understand the properties of natural systems, particularly if statistical methodologies have to be applied. The high number of conferences, short courses and lectures hold in different national and international university centres testifies the competences acquired by A. B. in this field of research,. As a consequence of this expertise, A. B. currently performs peer review work for national and international journal.
