COMMISSIONING EXPERIENCEI have also involved in commissioning and pre-commissioning of Main Generator, Steam Turbine, different Electrical Systems, Gas Insulated Switch Yards, Power Transformers, Electrical Bus bars, Panels, and Motor Generator sets under the high technical Supervision of Qinshan Nuclear Power Company China (QNPC). My responsibilities are Operations of Following Systems and Equipment’s

OPERATION of 340MW STEAM TURBINE Steam Turbine :

Operation of 340 MWe condensing steam turbine (steam flow 2020 t/h, T= 268ºC, inlet P= 5.5MPa discharge P=5.74KPa).It is a tandem compound turbine and comprised of 01 HP turbine and 02 LP turbines with 02 moisture separator and re-heaters, related systems and equipment are following.

Condenser Vacuum System : 2 start-up air ejectors, 2 main air ejectors

Condensate System : Condensate Pumps of 2x748 t/h, Condensate booster pumps of 2x750 t/h

Feed Water System : Feed water pumps 2x1032 t/h, Discharge pressure 9.0 Mpa, with 7 feed water heaters including 3 low pressure heaters, 1 de-aerator, and 3 high pressure heaters.

Turbine Auxiliary Steam System (DAS). Turbine Extractions Steam System (DXS) . Turbine Lube Oil System. EH Oil System . Turbine Emergency Trip System (ETS) and Governing System. Generator Rotor and Stator Cooling water /cooling air systems . Circulating Cooling Water System (CCW): (04 pumps having 25200T/hr. each). Close Cycle and Open Cycle Cooling Water System (DCC and DCS) . System Line up, Isolation, Normalization & Priming Of Systems.

OPERATION OF DEMINARALIZED WATER TREATMENT SYSTEMS Operation of Intake water filtration System(WCI), circulating cooling water system(WCP), Raw Water Purification System (WRP). Operation of de mineralizes water treatment system(DDT) for the production of

Service water, Domestic water and Chemical water.OPERATION OF ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS

Routine surveillance and operation of different electrical systems and equipment’s. Operation of Main generator (340MWe) its excitation system and AVR system. Operation and voltage regulation of Main Transformer, Stepdown Transformer and

Auxiliary Transformer. Isolation & Normalization of 132 kV and 220kv high voltage lines. Isolation & Normalization of M.V(6kv) and L.V(380v) Electrical bus bars. Low voltage & High voltage panels operation. Operation of all types of breakers including 6kv VD4 type vacuum circuit breakers

and SF6 circuit breakers. Operation of 220v AC Ups Systems, 220v DC & 24v DC Chargers system, their

rectifier units and batteries. Knowledge of protections of generator and transformer.

OPERAION IN DIFFERENT MODES OF PLANT Fully involves in the plant startup, plant normal power operation, power reduction

and handling all types of transients in all phases of plant, normal shutdown, emergency shutdown, and refueling shutdown.

Have experience of 03 planned long shut down at Chashma Nuclear Power Plant. MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

Maintaining online shift Log Books and Data Record Sheets. Maintain deficiencies record of plant systems and equipment’s. Reads and understands system Manuals, SOP’s and diagrams. Read and understands Drawings of different plant systems. Perform control room operations and field Operations. Diagnose malfunctions in machinery and equipment and effectively communicate

with the Shift Supervisor and raise Work Requests to maintenance department. Troubleshoots various systems and equipment’s operational problems and consults

with supervisor and colleagues as required. Helps the shift supervisor in compiling the operation reports. Coordinates with maintenance department in safe isolation of equipment for

preventive and corrective maintenance against Work Authorizations. Reads, understands, and ensures compliance with all plant industrial safety and

regulatory procedures. Good communication skill in English.

Fully versed in operating all types of Fire Extinguishers (dry chemical powder, water, CO2, AFFF)

I have knowledge about Industrial safety. Having knowledge about different Operating systems, data communication,

software and hardware of computer system, Good Command on Microsoft Office, and Internet using.

Ability to read and understand Instrument and Electrical drawings, interlock / logic diagrams.
