Thisistheslidingjigridingonthefencecheek,gluedandscrewedtogetherandniceandsquaretothefencewithnoplaywhichisveryimported.
Thecutterinstalledandtiltedto45DEG.andainsertjustforthiscuttingoperation.
Noticethepencilmarkontheinsertwhichindicatesthesettingofthefenceforthefirstcut.

Itapetheworkpiecetothejigwithmaskingtapepullingittightagainstthejigandrubbingthetapedowngood.Thecuttingheightisimportantandissettocutthegroovebutleavethesurfaceintactbetweengrooves(averysmallflat)thisistoensuretheboardfaceisintouchwiththesawtableoveritswholelength.Iaddedasmallcleattothejigfortheheelofthepushsticktoengagetoanditallowsmetousebothhandstoslidethejigthroughthecutandalsoholdthepaneldowntothesawtable.

HereistheresultsandtheyturnedoutverypreciseasyoucanseewiththetwoboardsclampedtogetherwhicharereversedendforendandengageperfectlyindicatingthattheindexingdeviceisworkingwithgoodprecisionassimpleasitisandyoucanalsoseethesmallflatsIleftonthetopofthepyramids.Acloseupasgoodasmycamerawilltake.Theboardhavetobeniceandflatandhavenotwistorimperfectresultwillhappen.Ihopethisexplainsitwellenoughbutiftherearequestionspleaseask.Nowitsonwithfinishbuildingtheboxformybuddyanditwillbethesamelookasthe1882boxIpostedpreviouslyifyoucaretolookatmyprojects.

SPalm/SteveIdontthinkarouterbitwoulddoasgoodajobandwouldgetdullwaybeforeabladewillandalsowouldcausesomeburningandtearoutthatiswhyIusethetablesawforthis.Alsoasasidenote:Theindexspacingcanbevariedbyaddingaremovableshimatthecontactpointofthefenceandtheindexbar,thecogspacingonthisbeltis8mmbutaddinga4mmshimitcanbereducedto4mmandsoonbyalternatingwithandwithoutshim.
