Transit Shed Operator- means the person in control of a transit shed for goods imported by aircraft.

Section 101A and Rules - Electronic communication for Customs & Excise purposes.

Register as a user to communicate electronically with Customs. Details concerning registration can found under Section 1.6 to the SARS EDI User Manual*.

a) Submit a completed Form DA185.4A6 to Lehae la SARS, EDI REGISTRATION, 299 Bronkhorst Street, Nieuw Muckleneuk, for attention: Mrs. Rita Burger.

b) Follow the EDI/PKI application procedure on SARS web site.

Section 8 – Reports of cargo landed and unpacked and packed or loaded must be in the form and at such times as may be specified by rule.

Rule 8.03 - Registration Register as a cargo reporter (Form DA8), and enter into a user agreement* with Customs to transact cargo reports electronically.

Submit completed Forms DA8A and DA8A.03 to Mr. Johann de Goede, 4th floor, Albany House, Durban.

Rule 8.04 & 8.05– Submission of Cargo Reports, format and content.

Submit cargo reports electronically in the format specified in the annexures to the SARS EDI User Manual #

Rule 8.08 – Outturn Reports. COSTCO # –.• Cargo Outturn Report: Outturn reports in respect of

cargo landed from an aircraft must be submitted by—– the transit shed operator in respect of all cargo received

into the transit shed;– the degrouping operator in respect of all cargo received

and deconsolidated by such operator.

a) The air cargo outturn report, not later than 24 hours after the arrival of the cargo at the transit shed or degrouping depot situated at the first airport of discharge.
