At Bridgeway Academy, we recognize that everyone learns differently and there’s no “one-size fits-all” approach to learning. That’s why we prioritize personalization and customization when we create a customized package for your child. These customized kits eliminate the guesswork of “Will this curriculum work for my child?”

We evaluate learning and personality styles, ideal learning environment, and academic strengths and needs. We also get to know the homeschool teacher and understand their wants for the year. From there, we design a fully-customized curriculum package with one goal in mind: to meet kids where they are and provide a road map to success.

1st MADELINE’S CUSTOMIZED PACKAGEFirst grade student Madeline just wants to have fun! She likes lots of colors and only

understands a concept if she can see it on paper or watch it. She struggles with understanding writing and grammar concepts.

Horizons Math 1: This course includes colorful and engaging workbooks that will help hold her interest, using lots of pictures to explain difficult concepts.

Steck-Vaughn Social Studies: Visually stimulating, and includes a “maps and graphs” section that will help Madeline see and grasp the concepts.

Evan-Moor Write a Super Sentence: By giving step-by-step instructions, this course will help strengthen Madeline’s sentence-writing skills and encourage creativity with colorful illustrations and prompts.

Pearson Interactive Science 1: This science course has an online component to help Madeline visualize the observations in the text. There’s also field trip ideas and Instructor Guides.

Horizons Grammar and Vocab 1: This course uses fun stories for Madeline to enjoy! She will also receive two Student Readers to help her practice and visualize the sounds of words.

3rd ANDREW’S CUSTOMIZED PACKAGEHe never wants to sit in his seat and thinks of the most creative ways to get away from his desk. Andrew’s strength is in math and understanding numbers.

BJU Press Math 3: This program provides plenty of practice items to explain new concepts, allowing Andrew to move forward into more advanced math skills. A manipulative packet is included for the kinesthetic learner.

Young Scientist Lab Kit: Andrew gets more hands-on learning and interaction by using one of the 11 Young Scientist Lab Kits we offer. This kit encourages him to explore fascinating scientific topics and conduct experiments for a more in-depth understanding.

Steck-Vaughn Living in Communities Maps & Globes C Social Studies: Engaging for many learning styles, this course grabs Andrew’s attention with colorful illustrations and hands-on activities, providing ample opportunity to interact with the concepts.

Teach Your Child to Read Well 3-4 Language Arts: This reading curriculum is highly interactive, engaging, and kinesthetic, and includes lots of workbook activities.

Pearson Interactive Science 3: Experiment- oriented, this curriculum helps Andrew visualize real-life situations and discussions to make science concepts come alive.

6th ALEXIS’S CUSTOMIZED PACKAGEShe has dreams of competing in the Olympics as an elite gymnast for the United States. She doesn’t have much time for studies and struggles learning mathematical concepts.

Saxon Math 7/6: By giving Alexis a step-by-step approach, she will learn to build skills and concepts, reviewing new principles multiple times throughout the year. The cyclical approach will help her successfully learn math subjects for years to come.

Peace Hill Press Story of the World: By using a straightforward and engaging style, Alexis can enjoy reading through history and understanding it in a relatable way. The text also encourages Alexis to read aloud to better grasp the content.

Switched-On School House Language Arts: SOS gives Alexis the opportunity to listen to lessons on the computer, so she can study while traveling to and from her practices. Lessons also feature interactive video clips and games to help her enjoy learning.

Steck-Vaughn Decisions for Health: Because of Alexis’s athletic goals and dreams, Health will help her understand body systems, exercise, nutrition, and how to make the best decisions for her body in the future.

Switched-On Schoolhouse Science: An interactive course that gives Alexis hands-on games and activities to do on the computer. It also includes quizzes and auto-graded tests so she can immediately see where she needs to improve.

11th NICK’S CUSTOMIZED PACKAGENick struggles spending long hours indoors doing school work, and he needs

help staying motivated.

Power Basics Consumer Math: This is a straight-forward math course that prepares Nick for everything from comparison shopping for loans to doing income taxes. This course comes with an Instructor Guide to walk him step-by-step through what he should do each day.

Paradigm Anatomy and Physiology: Taught in a relatable way that is

broken down into manageable chunks, this course help Nick feel accomplished

when he reaches those checkpoints.

ACE US History: This colorful, straight-forward course is broken down into manageable chunks and guided by the Bridgeway Instructor Guide.

Alpha Omega Art: This hands-on art course that will allow Nick to explore his creative side while studying several different genres of art.

Classical Literature Book Reports: Nick can choose books that interest him from a list of classical novels, plays, and poems. Three of the reports are written and one is multimedia, giving Nick the chance to think outside the box.

Paradigm English III : Taught in conversational vignettes, Paradigm English III teaches students to read, write and evaluate different genres of writing to build writing techniques.
