One of the best ways to get a new customer is to get someone to try a selection of our products so that they can see for themselves the market-leading quality that we provide. Using a Customer Trial Pack can be a superbly simple and efficient way of getting new customers. It's simply a conveniently sized and attractively designed box containing a selection of our most popular products, some information and an order form. You can order the boxes in one of two ways. Either order a Personal Use Product Pack, which is the box already containing a selection of products which you then supplement with others of your choice, or simply order the empty boxes. You can also order the empty boxes for £3 as a literature item and fill them yourself. Giving a new distributor an empty box and filling it with a few products from their ‘Fast Start’ pack is a great way to get them new customers very quickly. Don’t worry about having all the contents listed – just get it out and working immediately!

Using a Customer Trial Pack can be a superbly simple and efficient way of getting new customers. It's simply a conveniently sized and attractively designed box containing a selection of our most popular products, some information and an order form. You can order the boxes in one of two ways. Either order a Personal Use Product Pack, which is the box already containing a selection of products which you then supplement with others of your choice, or simply order the empty boxes. You can also order the empty boxes for £3 as a literature item and fill them yourself. Don’t worry about having all the contents listed – just get it out and working immediately!

Here are a number of ways of using your Customer Trial Packs to generate new customers.

Getting new customers You can get potential customers to try your products by lending them your Pack for three or four days at a time. You will find that this usually results in an order of one or more products. Sometimes it can result in orders of over a hundred pounds. You will sometimes hear this referred to as a PUPP drop to avoid jargon with a customer we call it a Customer Trial Pack or, even better, a "weekender" pack if they are having it over a weekend or a "midweek" pack if they are having it midweek. This also reinforces the idea in their mind that they only have the pack for a few days. When we lend someone a Pack we always go through it with them for 6 or 7 minutes first, briefly explaining what each of the products can do for you. We also show them that the seals are off the tubes so that they feel comfortable to use them. It's important to remember that linking a personal or third party testimonial to each of the products as you take them through the contents will be much more powerful and easier to remember than trying to tell them a whole load of science. Use it in a 1:1 We also use the Trial Pack when we are doing a one-to-one. When we get to the part that shows the products we actually open the box and get the products out. This is much more tangible and powerful for our prospect than looking at a picture and we find it sometimes results in product sales and a new customer if our prospect is not interested in the business. If our prospect is interested in coming to a Business Presentation following their one-to-one, we can lend them the Trial Pack in the meantime. This results in a much higher turn-up rate as it seems to maintain and build their interest and makes it more likely that our prospect will join us and that they will get started quicker because they are already building faith in the superiority of the products.

Increase customer spend We also lend a Trial Pack to our existing customers so that they can try a broader range of our products. This often results in the customer increasing the number of products that they regularly buy from you and so can multiply your retail profit and turnover several times. Fundraising The Trial Pack can also be used as a great vehicle for fund raising for a good cause and at the same time finding new customers for your business. You can support any organisation or group that you like - we find that the smaller and more local the better - a playgroup or club, for example, would be great. Once you have decided on your good cause it's simply a question of lending the packs out. Of course, when we ask people to take a pack we make the fund raising element clear and we also include a letter with ours. Here is the opening of the letter... "When we started planning our autumn advertising budget we said to ourselves wouldn't it be great if instead of giving all this money to newspapers and magazines we could give it to a worthwhile charity. So that's just what we decided to do! "Welcome to this Personal Use Product Pack. We are so confident in the superior quality of our products that instead of advertising we are asking everyone to try this selection of our products for free. In return we are going to give 20% of all our sales in October and November to the Dorset Air Ambulance."…… What to include in your trial pack The following is an ideal combination for the contents of your Trial Pack, but as you gain experience feel free to swap some of these for your own favourites. You could also make up a specific selection for a "Skin Care Pack" or an "Animal Pack" if you want to lend a box to someone who you know may have a particular interest.

Making the most of your pack The more often you lend out a pack the quicker you will build a customer base and the more profit you will make. Ideally get each Pack out twice a week - you can have as many packs out as you like - just make sure that you keep track of when you lent each one out so you don't leave it too long before you follow up.
