Scaling Containers Across the Hybrid Cloud with New Infrastructure

NCSOFT is one of the world’s premier publishers of massively multiplayer online role player games. NCSOFT publishes several games a year. To attract players to a game and ensure they continue to enjoy it, the company strives to optimize the performance of its infrastructure and software. NCSOFT needed a way to scale its software smoothly between on-premises servers and the public cloud. NCSOFT is also migrating to a container environment as much as possible. To increase performance, NCSOFT is migrating its most performance intensive modules to Intel® Xeon® Scalable processors. The company has also enhanced performance with Intel® DC SSDs to accelerate the writing of player logs and other files and with Intel® Ethernet Converged Network Adapters for their reliability, stability and performance.
