Yantai Shuangyuan General Parts Co., Ltd. (SYS) is a private enterprise established in 2007 andspecialized in producing casting alloy floating seals. Located in Yaitai, Shandong province, SYS is 30Km away from Yantai Laishan Airport and 180 Km away from Qingdao port. SYS covers a floor area of 12000 m2 and a building area of 10000 m2 with the total assets of 30 million RMB. The total numberof employees of SYS is more than 160, about 30 percent of which are engineering technicians.

PRODUCT MATERIALS

High chromium cast iron: Wear-resistant carbide of the material is (Fe,Cr)7 C3，It more wear-resistant than Ni-Hard 1. HRc hardness is up to 65-72HRc.It has strong ability of anti pollution and can adapt to the harsh conditions. It can be used to continuous work in the mud, water, dust and other adverse conditions. Surface pressure ratio is 0.35-0.7 Mpa, and it can be reliable to work under impact condition. It can withstand the line speed of about 4 m/s.

Ni-Hard 1: Wear-resistant carbide of the material is (Fe,Cr)3 C which of HV hardness is 1100-1500HV. The overall HRc hardness of the material is 57-64HRc. It is wear-resistance and corrosion-resistance, and has strong ability of anti pollution. It can withstand higher velocity than that of high chromium cast iron, Under certain conditions, the line speed it withstands is up to 10 m/s. The service life is up to 3000 hours.

The microstructure is martensite, carbide and Le’. (After Tempering.)

Quality Assurance

We own comprehensive inspection equipment and have sufficient capacity to conduct a comprehensivemonitoring of the quality.

Such as Component Analysis, HardnessTest, Microstructure Analysis, Dimension Inspection, Flatness Inspection, O-Ring’sDimension and Shore A Hardness Inspection etc.

Component Analysis: We use the Lab Spark 750 Spectrometer for component analysis. The frequency is 2 times per furnace to make sure the components of the material meet the standard. We can adjust the component by the component result before casting and discuss how to deal with the workpieces when the component result after casting is unqualified.

Using this instrument, we can measure all the dimensions. The accuracy is 6um in the X, Y axes and 10um in the Z axis, which should work well enough in most situations. The S type can be used to measure the workpiece which of the max outer diameter is 200mm and the L type is 600mm. 22

Quality Assurance

The Coordinate Measurement Machine(CMM) is used for full dimensional analysis, also for geometric tolerance analysis.

Three axes of CMM has a gas source switch and micro device. CMM can realize the precise transmission of single axis, the data acquisition system uses special system for high performance manual three coordinates and it have a good reliability. The accuracy of CMM is 2.7um.

TEST FACILITIES

Load Tester

The gap of the floating housing determines theinstallation position of the seal Ring and the pressure of the O-ring.

In the application, when the continuous operating speed “V” is more than 3m/s, the default gap settingmust be increased to decrease the deformation of O-ring and the load “P” on the contacting surface.

When the Shore A hardness of O-ring changed, we must adjust the gap between the floating housings.

Installation Gap

We test the axial load on the seal ring when developing the new product. The equipment can automatically generate a surface load curve and obtain the load values. Compared with the customer’s information, we can get the optimal axial load. When endurance test , we can adjust the gap of the seal seats. according to the curve between the load and the gap.

TEST FACILITIES

We begin the endurance test according to the optimum axial load of seal ring. We can verify theperformance of the samples by recording the oil

temperature, the seal ring temperature and the oil drops drop on the collecting paper.

scratches on the contacting surface of the seal rings and analyse the curve about “P”and “V” for our further study.
