Well El Rah ad my hometown is right on a small river
The area is quite fertile and flat. Some high land also surrounds it and it also
has an opening at the back. Which is where the river is.
There is also very easy access to water and food. North Kurdufan had tobacco and many spices.
History
El rahad is land that is in North Kurdofan, which was concord by Egypt in 1821.
It was under the Turko-eygption rule until 1882.
It was the year when Muhammad Ahmad fermented revolt.
The Mahdist forces were defeated in 1898 which made it part of Anglo-Egyptian Sudan.
