The division includes 16 branches organized into large programs in cancer surveillance, epidemiology, behavioral science, health services, dissemination and diffusion, and cancer survivorship research. Dr. Winn plays a critical role in developing and facilitating initiatives to foster research in these areas both nationally and internationally. Current Program of Research

Dr. Winn is a co-investigator with the International Head and Neck Cancer Epidemiology (INHANCE) Consortium, an international group of investigative teams leading large

epidemiology studies of head and neck cancer and collaborating on pooled studies to understand the etiology of these cancers. She also co-authors articles describing new strategies for cancer epidemiology research, such as recommendations and guidelines for assessing the cumulative evidence on joint effects of genes and the environment on cancer occurrence and conducting cancer cluster investigations.
