    a) Supervision of a Ph.D. project titled up-gradation of Dilband ironore since 2004. (Completed in 2009).

    b) Research project titled "Slope stability assessment of open pit lignite mineat Thar coalfield" conducted at Nottingham University, UK in 2007 and

    2008 under HEC-BC Higher Education Links Program.

    c) On going M.E. research projects Upgradation of indigenous china clay for environment friendly

    Removal of hazardous elements from Lakhra lignite by stub conehydrocyclone. (In progress)

    Desulphurization of Lakhra lignite.

    d) Research completed Evaluation of fracture toughness of coal measures and hard rocks.

    Development of a computer simulation model for the assessmentof rock mass failure using fracture toughness as failure criterion.

    power plant.

    b) Planning, design and execution of limestone quarry at lakhra to supply125,000 ton of limestone to WAPDA for 3x50 MW, F.B.C. coal firedpower plant.

    c) Evaluation of Preliminary Mine Design feasibility Report prepared byChina National Machinery Import & Export Corporation (CMC) for the

    development of mechanized underground lignite mines at Lakhra to

    produce 750,000 ton of lignite per year for 3x50 MW, F.B.C. coal fired

    power plant.

    d) Evaluation of tender proposals submitted by various International MiningConsultants for conducting Thar Coal Mining Feasibility Study.

    e) Planning, arranging and facilitation of coal mining feasibility studyconducted by Chinese.

    f) Evaluation of Bankable Feasibility Study for Thar Lignite Mine projectconducted by RWE Power International, Germany in 2004.
