The research interests of Prof. Mahulikar are manifold which include synthetic

organic chemistry, green chemistry, biologically active heterocyclic compounds,

conducting/self-healing/anti-corrosive polymers, controlled release/microencapsulation

formulations, fly ash and pesticides residues.

I] Design and Development of Drugs

a. Synthesis of anti-ulcer, anti-diabetic, anti-oxidant and anti-microbial compounds.

b. Characterization and evaluation of bioactivity.

II] Natural Products, Structural Modifications and Pest Management

a] Monoterpenoids

Natural products (monoterpenoids and others) and their structural modifications to prepare

the libraries of synthetic derivatives for bioassay in search of eco-friendly pest management

agents.

i) Applications as eco-friendly pest management agents.
